Story
Hi! I’m a one-year-old, 11-lb Shih Tzu called Shiloh. I am a lovable and energetic little guy who is ready to find my forever home! Read on to learn more about me.
General Behavior: Shiloh is a sweet and affectionate companion, always eager to share his love with anyone he meets. He enjoys playing and is full of energy, making him the perfect fit for an active household. After a long day of playing, he loves to sleep in his own bed next to his human bed.
Likes & Dislikes: This playful little guy loves toys: the more, the merrier! He also loves his people and will greet you with an enthusiastic "wiggle butt" every day.
Training: Shiloh is a little gentleman! He already knows commands such as "sit" and "come". He is housetrained if let out frequently. While Shiloh has made great strides in settling, he’s working on his barking and marking habits, but with patience and consistent guidance, he’s sure to improve quickly. Other than that, he walks well on a leash, loves to go for rides in the car, and generally has good basic manners.
Medical: Shiloh is a healthy boy. He just needs his monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog.
Other Animals: Shiloh gets along with other dogs especially small ones. He has not been observed around cats, but his foster doesn't think they'd get along.
Children: Gentle Shiloh is good with children of all ages.
Home: Shiloh needs a single-family home with a securely fenced yard where someone is around more often than not or where there is another playful dog: he doesn’t like to be alone.
Grooming: As a Shih Tzu, Shiloh will need regular brushing plus professional grooming every few months (depending on how long his family would like to keep his coast). This cost should be factored into his maintenance.
Overall: Shiloh is a wonderful dog and any active, loving family would be lucky to have him!
Is Shiloh the snuggly sweetheart you've been looking for? Then visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with the foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. He is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered, and he has just had his teeth cleaned. His adoption donation is $550.
