Name:  Shaggy       Best Guess for Breed:  Shih Tzu mix  Best Guess for Age:  3 years as of November 2024        SEX:   Female   Approximate Weight:   16 lbs   Gets Along With:   Other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids or cats but we can test her if you have them   Currently Living at:   Shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to escape!   Shaggy is Looking For:   Her forever family! This sweetie (shelter staff say she is super sweet!) is eager for sniffy walks and all the adventures her new humans can dream up! She'd like to go to dog school, too, so she can show how super smart she is. Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed are on her wish list as well but you know what she wants most of all? To love and be loved, to be safe under her own roof. She has so many adoring gazes and happy tail wags and kisses to give in return. What do you say? Is Shaggy the one for your home and your heart? Story
Mimisiku (Mimi for short) is a sweet 7 year old Shih Tzu mix that is in need of a very patient owner who is better equipped financially to care of her needs and give her lots of personal attention. We are her second home, we got her when she was about 2 years old but we are relocating and unable to keep her any longer. She's not aggressive in any way around children but doesn't like to share the attention. She's also not much of a barker however will be very vocal when she wants something! She likes long walks but will sucker you into carrying her ( she's a little stubborn) and while she can be very playful she doesn't care for toys or bones. She loves fruit (mangoes, apples and cucumbers are her favorite) spaghetti, chips and french fries but will settle for bite sized chewy snacks. She is very affectionate and welcomes lots of belly rubs and cuddles. She will do best with someone who is very patient and can give her lots of personal attention.
