Story
Here we have "Enzo". Enzo is a 1 year old Terrier/Shih Tzu mix. Enzo is a nice little dog who was given up because noone wanted to take care of him. Poor little guy. He needs someone to show him love and to give him love. Because he was neglected, he also needs someone to give him some help with "potty" training. You must own your own home. Children must be 6 years old or older. Enzo has never been to a veterinarian, so off to our veterinarian we went! Enzo got neutered, he got all his shots and he tested negative for heartworm. We will also have him microchipped. To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference. We will not place any animal without a veterinarian reference. We get a veterinarian reference from your veterinarian which is a history of medical care administered by your veterinarian to your present or previous pet or pets. Please do not contact us if you cannot abide by our adoption rules. The adoption fee for Enzo is $400.00. No credit cards. If you are interested in Enzo, please email us at feline55keeper@gmail.com. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE. You can meet Enzo on Saturday at Petco located at 201 Union Street in Waterbury during our adoption hours from 12:00 to 3:00. PLEASE CONFIRM with us that you would like to meet Enzo on Saturday and we will be sure to bring him with us to Petco on Saturday. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE STRESS THAT IN ORDER TO ADOPT FROM US, YOU MUST HAVE A VETERINARIAN REFERENCE...NO EXCEPTIONS!

Meet the cutest little guy around! He is a compact ball of love and we call him our "Walmart Greeter". Carson's person died a couple of years ago and he is needing a new home. This little guy is part Shih Tzu part.... Bassett?? A short, stocky little man for sure. Don't let those little legs fool you though, he likes to run and play with the big dogs. Carson is housebroken, so the hard work is done for you! He is an adult with a lot of life left! Let him snuggle up to you and you can heal his little heart. Story
This scruffy little lady has that irresistibly adorable, tousled look that will steal your heart in seconds. Don’t let her small size fool you—she’s quick on her feet and loves to zip around having fun! She gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and enjoys every opportunity to make new furry friends. When playtime winds down, she’s all about the belly rubs and soaking up affection. She’s easy to keep up with off leash and loves being right by your side, whether you’re out exploring or just enjoying a relaxed day together. Sweet, spunky, and full of charm—this little girl is ready to bring so much joy to her forever home. This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This cute little boy is ANDY, he was named Raggedy ANDY because he looks so bad full of mats and overgrown hair.  He had been on the streets a long time by no fault of his own.  Someone on a street in San Antonio knew him and his owner.  His owner died and the family put poor ANDY on the streets.  The neighbors felt sorry for him and would take turns feeding him.  Once the winter got cold on a 26 degree night, a friendly neighbor put a sweater on him and allowed him to sleep in their gargage but that neighbor too tossed him back on the streets.  Another neighbor could not stand it any longer and called me to take him in. It took 2 days to groom ANDY with the hard mounds of mats on him and he just sat there very quiet and patiently waiting to get all of the stuff off of him.  Pictures are available. ANDY is 2 years old and 18 pounds and a great little guy.  He really likes following me around but he is pretty independent, not a velcro dog although he does like to cuddle and be close to watch TV.  He walks very well on a leash and does not get car sick and of course he still very well for a bath and to be groomed which he will need to be groomed about every 6-8 weeks. He gets along with the other foster dogs, crate and potty trained.  If you are interested in adopting ANDY please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         March 12, 2026, 9:09 am

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This majestic little lady is QUEENIE  She is 9 years young and 7 pounds and a great little toy Shih Tzu that you can hold and cuddle and take on errands with you.  I thought about keeping QUEENIE myself because of her age but I have foster dogs who take up my time and attention and QUEENIE tries to follow behind me and ends up getting run over. She still plays and goes outside to potty with everyone else and all of the dogs are bigger than she is.  She is quiet and independent and primarily healthy.  Because of her age and breed, she has Luxating Patella in both legs but that does not stop her from running and jumping AND climbing the stairs just fine.  She use to sleep in a crate but decided that the laundry room was more comfortable so she drug her little bed and blanket into the laundry room.  I was shocked but I allowed her to make that her room. She is not spayed but I will get her spayed before she goes to her new home.  QUEENIE was horribly matted when I got her, she was found on the streets of San Antonio, TX and had to be shaved down.  She has grown out and needs to be groomed again which she will be this week coming up, April 1, Wednesday. This is simply a little doll toy Shih Tzu that is pure delightful to have around.  I love having her in my home. If you are interested in adopting QUEENIE, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.
