Story
Gizmo and Lulu are beyond perfection. They are funny, engaging and sweet. Perfect amount of energy for straight up companionship. Gizmo is an 11 year old, 20 lb. purebred Shih Tzu. Lulu is an 8 year old, 18 lb. mixed breed small dog. They are not siblings but have been together their whole lives. They are bonded and look out for each other and are always together but also want to snuggle with humans at the same time. They enjoy short walks and low key play time and get along with other dogs. They are perfect for a family looking for low maintenance fun fur babies. They are spayed, neutered and up to date on vaccines. We require adopters to have a safe and secure backyard - not electric or Fido fences as they are not as safe at containing dogs or keeping other animals or people out. For these reasons we do not adopt to homes with electric or Fido fencing. The adoption fee is $275 for each dog, which includes age appropriate vaccines, microchip, monthly flea, tick and heart worm preventatives at time of adoption.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Louie, a sweet Pekingese mix who is ready to find his forever home. Born around January 9, 2025, and weighing about 14 lbs, Louie’s life hasn’t been easy so far. He and his friend were living in a bus lot for eight weeks during our winter freeze, struggling to survive in a tough and cold environment. Tragically, Louie was hit by a car during this time, and another dog from their group went missing. Thankfully, a skilled trapper was able to rescue Louie and his friend Jetson, bringing them to safety where they’ve been healing. Though Louie is still a little shy at first, he’s warming up to people and starting to come out of his shell. He’s been in foster home recovering from his orthopedic surgery from his broken leg, and has been great with dogs of all sizes and doesn’t mind cats, so if you have other pets, he’ll fit right in. Louie loves to play with other dogs. He’s quiet, well-mannered, and calm in the house, and he’s already kennel trained and potty trained. Louie is neutered, heartworm tested, up to date on vaccines, and current on preventatives like ProHeart and Bravecto. He’s microchipped, and after his accident, he now has fully recovered, which has helped him get back to his playful self. Louie is looking for a patient, loving family who will allow him to continue healing and growing into the wonderful companion he’s meant to be. His adoption fee is $400, and is currently located in Texas but is eligible for transport to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington (Kentucky), or anywhere along the East Coast. Please note there is an additional transport fee of $225, and we cannot transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations. If you think you could be the right family for Louie, please apply today at www.adoggie4you.org. Louie is ready to blossom into a loving, playful, and loyal friend for the right person or family. Could that be you?Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 1, 2025, 10:38 pm

Story
Meet Lainey! This gorgeous 1-year-old Shih Tzu, weighing just under 12 pounds, is ready to find a forever family that will love her as much as she deserves. Tossed out in the cold by her previous owners, Lainey was rescued by one of our amazing rescue partners and given the care she needed—including a fresh groom that has her looking and feeling her best!Lainey is playful and friendly with other dogs but also enjoys sitting back and observing the action. She’s crate trained and doing well with house training when given regular potty breaks. Gentle and sweet, she’s the perfect balance of playful and cuddly. With love and guidance, Lainey will make a fantastic family companion!Could you be the one to give Lainey the warm, loving home she’s been waiting for?Lainey is an Ambassadog! Her higher adoption fee will enable us to pay for a dental and bloodwork for one of the senior dogs we recently took in who badly needs it.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.February 25, 2025, 8:39 pm

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.HAZEL says 'HI' and she would love to have a home of her own to love and care for her.  She loves to get her head rubbed and just hang out with her human to be close.  She is a great cuddler and just loves to hang around you.   At 3 years old and 12 pounds she makes a great companion for any family that is willing to let her hang out with you and just give her the love and attention she so deserves. HAZEL and her son were owner surrendered to me by a backyard breeder who only had the dogs in her home to make money.  Surprisingly HAZEL has a great, quiet and mild temperament with no aggression in any area.  When I put her out to potty I have to make sure to leave her out a while because she tries to get right back in to follow me around the house. If you are interested in adopting HAZEL, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         November 8, 2024, 8:59 am

This little guy is part Shih Tzu part.... Bassett?? A short, stocky little man for sure. Don't let those little legs fool you though, he likes to run and play with the big dogs. Carson is housebroken, so the hard work is done for you! He is an adult with a lot of life left! Let him snuggle up to you and you can heal his little heart. Story
Age:   approx 7 years old  (both) Weight: 12 lbs (Prince)  10 lbs (Princess) My adoption fee is $ 995  which includes transportation charges to the Northeast. Prince and Princess are a bonded pair and will be adopted together.   Both are very affectionate and very sweet. They play outside with the others, and love running in the yard. Potty and crate trained. They are always together, share a kennel, and have their own bowls, but eat each other's bowls. Very adorable pair. Now that their hair is grown, they look a lot like it but she’s a smaller size. She’s a sweetheart. She gives kisses and wants to be held. He also does a lot of kisses and affectionate.
