Born around January 9, 2025, and weighing about 14 lbs, Louie’s life hasn’t been easy so far. He and his friend were living in a bus lot for eight weeks during our winter freeze, struggling to survive in a tough and cold environment. Tragically, Louie was hit by a car during this time, and another dog from their group went missing. Thankfully, a skilled trapper was able to rescue Louie and his friend Jetson, bringing them to safety where they’ve been healing. Though Louie is still a little shy at first, he’s warming up to people and starting to come out of his shell. He’s been in foster home recovering from his orthopedic surgery from his broken leg, and has been great with dogs of all sizes and doesn’t mind cats, so if you have other pets, he’ll fit right in. Louie loves to play with other dogs. He’s quiet, well-mannered, and calm in the house, and he’s already kennel trained and potty trained. Louie is neutered, heartworm tested, up to date on vaccines, and current on preventatives like ProHeart and Bravecto. He’s microchipped, and after his accident, he now has fully recovered, which has helped him get back to his playful self. Louie is looking for a patient, loving family who will allow him to continue healing and growing into the wonderful companion he’s meant to be. His adoption fee is $400, and is currently located in Texas but is eligible for transport to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington (Kentucky), or anywhere along the East Coast. HAZEL and her son were owner surrendered to me by a backyard breeder who only had the dogs in her home to make money.  Surprisingly HAZEL has a great, quiet and mild temperament with no aggression in any area.  When I put her out to potty I have to make sure to leave her out a while because she tries to get right back in to follow me around the house. She is medically up to date (recent full dental done), housebroken, and crate trained. Meet JoJo. JoJo was found by a good samaritan on the streets where he was hit by a car. He was in pain and terrified, and would not let anyone touch him, so she scooped him up in a tote. Our rescue has committed to him. He was taken to the vet where he was checked out. Luckily, he only had some bruising. We are paying to get him heart worm tested(neg), rabies vaccinations, microchipped, Bordetella, neutered and we even had a full dental done on him. He will be ready for adoption towards the end of February. His foster mom picked him up yesterday and said he’s a very, very sweet calm boy and really seemed to enjoy the car ride home. He is an adult male, about 6 years old and weighs approximately 18 pounds although he is a a bit overweight. We are guessing possible Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso or terrier mix. His owner was contacted and never came forward to claim him so let’s find him a wonderful loving, forever home.
