Meet Kiwi — a gentle, loving soul who thrives on companionship. He’s happiest when he’s close to his person, whether it’s sitting quietly at your feet or snuggled in your lap for hours. Kiwi’s heart is full of affection, and he’s always eager to make you smile. As a young puppy, Kiwi bravely battled a severe case of parvo. He doesn’t always recognize or communicate when he needs to go outside, and sometimes he can’t hold it in time. He’s making progress as he grows, and with patience, consistency, and loving guidance, we’re convinced he’ll continue to improve even more. Kiwi’s sweetness, loyalty, and loving nature make every bit of extra care more than worthwhile. He will need a securely fenced yard where he can safely play and stretch his legs. His adoption fee of $375 includes his neuter, microchip, and vaccinations. We’re located in the Colorado Springs area and require a home visit as part of the adoption process. Sudoku was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. Available to meet starting 1/3/2026! Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train. Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue. However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment.
