Gizmo's Background: Gizmo is a 9-year-old Shih Tzu who was surrendered to the rescue. He was surrendered because he was picking on the family's Labrador Retriever, who was very scared of him. Medical and Behavioral Information: Gizmo is neutered and microchipped. He is current on all his vaccinations and shots. Gizmo can be a bit grumpy, so he would not do well in a home with small children. He would thrive best as an only dog, where he would receive all the attention and affection. Gizmo is described as a "lap dog" or "shadow" who enjoys spending time close to his owner. Ideal Adoptive Home: Gizmo would do great in a home with an older adult who can provide him with the attention and care he needs. He would not be a good fit for a family with young, energetic children due to his grumpy tendencies. As an only dog, Gizmo can receive all the love and focus from his new owner, which seems to be what he desires. In summary, Gizmo is a 9-year-old Shih Tzu who needs a quiet, attentive home as an only pet. Halo is a 4 year old, 20lb Shih Tzu.  Halo was surrendered from his owners becayse she had a lot of dogs and wanted to downsize.  Halo is the cutest little boy who is missing half his jaw, so his little tongue hangs out of his mouth all the time - it might be the cutest thing ever! Halo needs an owner who is looking for a dog with a biiig, sassy personality.  Halo loves to snuggle and hang out with his foster Momma.  He gets along with other dogs and is great on a leash.  He is pretty well trained and listens well.  Halo is also a pretty stubborn little man.  If you are doing something he doesn't like (like giving him medicine or cleaning his years) he will let you know!  For some people this big personality is hilarous and they adore everything about him, but for others his big personality it a little too much.  This is the same with dogs for Halo.  He gets along great with other dogs, but if another dog steps on him, or tried to play with him when he isn't into it, he lets his annoyance known, so another easy going dog who isn't all over him all the time, or have a super dominant, snappy personality would be best for this little man.  Halo is sooo good and sooo deserving of the best forever family.   If you are interested in adopting little Halo, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2234207##

Jimmy is 11 pounds of sweetness and spunk. We believe he is a Shih Tzu and about 3 years old.  He loves running around the yard with his foster dog siblings, and being cuddled by his foster human. Jimmy is mostly potty trained but will need a little work and patience in his forever home in a new environment.  He loves to play with tiny balls and chew toys. He is a great little boy and just needs a forever family of his own for the holidays!  We have learned that Jimmy is a little more nervous around men than women, and will need a little extra time to warm up.  We do believe he can be adopted into a home with males as long as they are patient, or a female only home.  He does great with ALL dogs and all women is seems :) Jimmy will need a family who can get him groomed every 6-8 weeks to keep him looking handsome and clean.   If you are interested in adopting Jimmy, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2249011##

This affectionate lil pooch is an approximately 12 yr old Maltese/Shih Tzu mix, around 20 lbs. He is a sweet dog who loves cuddles, car rides, and just spending time with his person(s). When out on the town, he happily walks by your side and is happy to sit next to you with a huge smile. He seems to have gone deaf in his senior years, has partial vision loss, and has very few teeth left. However, he gets around great and has lots of love to give you. He has been returned twice with no fault of his own. This little pal does great on a leash and is house trained. As an older guy, Bruno needs a special adopter who can give him lots of love, a consistent routine, and manage his health in his later years. He may tolerate sharing his people with cats, but would do best without other dogs. He is located in Denver and waiting for a home to retire in.
