Story
We adopted Sammy from the Santa Barbara Humane Society in 2017 and he was around 2 years old (he is now around 9 years old). Sammy is a Shih Tzu mix and is about 14 lbs. We have two kids and another dog, and we have had no issues with his personality. Sammy loves to cuddle up on the couch and sleep. Within the last year Sammy has started to have a bit of anxiety, and he has started to dig in our yard and has been able to escape multiple times into the neighbor's yard. Our neighbor has been complaining, and we tried to fix the fences and block it however he is a talented digger lol. He also was fully potty trained however he started to pee in the house. It started with just a little marking and now it is everywhere every single day. My husband and I are gone all day with work and kids sports and we feel he is anxious and would benefit from a home that had an owner home more often. when we are home, he is completely fine. It hurts my heart, but he would be happier.
