Story
We are calling this handsome guy Martin. He has very clean teeth, so we believe he is a year or less. He weighs 14 pounds. Sadly he was found as a stray and so far no one has come forward. He was living in a home briefly and during that time the person was able to see that he was good with kids 7 and older, did fine with the other dogs in the home and seemed to be a good boy. He will need to learn to go potty outside and will do so when taken outside. He likely lived in a home where someone did not take the time to properly train him to be indoors. Martin is very young, so we are confident he can learn. He is a beautiful dog and has a neuter appointment on 1/6 so can go home shortly. $350.00 adoption. Please visit our website www.petsnpals.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
Lucky is a darling boy who is guessed to be a shih tzu/lhasa apso type mix. He is about 17lbs and thought to be around 9yrs old, however acts much younger! Lucky was found in poor condition. He was malnourished and appeared to have been suffering from a flea allergy which caused inflamed skin and missing coat on half his body. In just a few weeks of proper care and good nutrition, he is already looking so much better. His coat will continue to grow, and we know that will make him even cuter! He can be scared/nervous when adjusting to a new environment, so his adoptive home will have to have a little patience. After a few days, he shows his sweet and happy personality. Here are notes from his fostermom: This sweet boy is looking for a calm, loving home where he can feel safe and appreciated. Lucky does best with *older children* who can respect his space—he’s a gentle soul who just needs understanding and patience. Lucky is a total sweetheart who loves to cuddle and stay close to his humans. He enjoys playing with toys and is learning how to interact with other dogs; he may bark to get their attention, but he’s making progress every day! He’s *crate trained*, *potty trained*, and will bark or gently paw at you when he needs to go outside. Lucky also knows how to use a doggy door. He absolutely loves going on walks and greeting new people along the way. Lucky would thrive in a home with another *low- to mid-energy dog* or as the *only pet*. With love and stability, this affectionate boy will make a wonderful companion. If you’re looking for a loyal, cuddly friend who just wants to be near you, Lucky might be your perfect match! Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
Jenny is the new best friend that is going to make your holidays bright! She is a 2.5 year-old, 17.4 pound, cream/white, Lhasa /Maltese mix. This beautiful girl will require regular professional grooming. She is A very loving girl. She is a 24 seven Companion and will need a home where somebody is with her most of the time. She’s getting the routine of using the doggie door here at the sanctuary. She keeps her kennel clean at night so potty training should be fairly easy. She walks well on the leash and gets along with other dogs. She is a quiet dog and would do well in a quieter home without young children. She is scheduled to be spayed, but we are looking for her home now. She is currently vaccinated. She has been micro chipped, Flea treated and dewormed. This beautiful girl is waiting to fill your home with love and joy!
