We have a transport where we will be personally driving our dogs home leaving on 11/14/25 to NorCal, OR, and WA. Surrounding states will be added to our route as needed ☺️ We would love to add Hank to our trip for the right home! Meet Hank Some dogs just have a presence about them — the kind that settles into your heart before you even realize it. That’s Hank. A purebred Shih Tzu, two years of age, weighing right under 18 pounds of steady, soulful love. He is full grown and at a perfectly healthy weight — not overweight, just strong and built beautifully for his size. There’s a quiet confidence in his stance and a sweetness in his eyes that tells you right away, this boy is special. Hank came to us from an older couple who loved him dearly but knew deep down they could no longer keep up with the daily needs of a young, spirited dog. Their decision didn’t come lightly; they adored him and wanted only what was best for him. They knew he deserved more playtime, more adventure, more of everything that makes life full — so they made the selfless choice to reach out for help. From the moment Hank arrived, he has been an absolute joy. He is crate trained, house trained, and sleeps quietly through the night. He isn’t a barker but has a gentle way of communicating when he needs to go out or wants affection. He’s affectionate yet independent, steady yet playful — the perfect balance of companionship and calm. While Hank’s prior family didn’t take him on many walks, he’s now learning that the world outside is a pretty wonderful place. He’s building his confidence on leash, taking in every new smell, sound, and sight with curiosity. We have no doubt that in time, he will absolutely love his daily walks and everything they bring — especially if it means more time with his favorite person. Hank gets along beautifully with other dogs and enjoys their company, but his true happiness lies in the love and connection of his humans. He’s happiest when included, whether that’s riding in the car, sitting nearby while you read or work, or curling up at your feet in the evenings. He doesn’t need constant attention, just your steady presence and the reassurance that he’s home for good. He has that old soul quality about him — the kind that makes you slow down and appreciate the simple moments. A quiet morning coffee on the porch. A nap while soft music plays. The way he looks at you, as if to say, “Thank you for finding me.” Hank’s the kind of companion who will bring balance and comfort into your life. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and emotionally intelligent little soul who will give you his all every single day, then look no further. Hank is ready to love and be loved, and in return, he’ll make every day feel just a little more complete. Adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/_hank It covers his neuter, full veterinary exam, microchip/registration, dental cleaning and polish, antibiotic injection given to aid in the healing of both his neuter and dental cleaning, his current vaccines, and pain meds to go home. It also covers the months of care, grooming costs, and training he has recieved since with us here ❤️

We have a transport where we will be personally driving our dogs home leaving on 11/14/25 to NorCal, OR, and WA. Surrounding states will be added to our route as needed ☺️ We would love to add Rico to our trip for the right home! Meet Rico 💙 If ever there were a dog whose eyes could speak straight to your heart, it would be Rico. This purebred Shih Tzu is 2 years old and weighs right under 14 pounds. He is full grown, perfectly proportioned, and has one of the sweetest, most expressive faces you’ll ever see. His big, soft brown eyes seem to sparkle with gratitude whenever someone shows him love — and it’s impossible not to feel something special when he looks your way. Rico’s previous family loved him deeply, but their work schedules kept them away from home more than they ever intended. They noticed how much he longed for connection, how his tail wagged at the sound of the door opening, how he just wanted time — real, devoted time — with his people. When they realized they couldn’t give him that consistently, they made the compassionate choice to reach out to us so he could find the life they knew he truly deserved. Since joining us, Rico has proven to be a bright light of joy. He’s crate trained, house trained, and sleeps through the night in his crate. He’s also leash trained and loves his walks, trotting proudly with his tail held high, as if he knows each step is a new adventure. He’s not a barker but does communicate sweetly when he needs something, always polite, never demanding. Rico is one of those dogs who simply goes with the flow — adaptable, cheerful, and content as long as he’s part of your world. He’s the perfect blend of playful energy and calm companionship. He can romp around the yard one minute and curl up quietly beside you the next. His personality makes him a wonderful fit for nearly any household, whether it’s a single person looking for a loyal companion or a family with gentle children and other pets. When you look into his eyes, you can see how much he wants to be loved — not just occasionally, but deeply and daily. He loves being near his people, enjoys gentle affection, and thrives on routine and reassurance. He doesn’t ask for much: a cozy home, a patient heart, and someone to share his days with. Rico is ready to make someone’s life brighter in every way. His gentle, forgiving heart and happy spirit are what make dogs like him unforgettable. If you’ve been waiting for that one dog who will make you laugh, comfort you when you’re down, and greet you with joy every single morning — Rico is your boy. Adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/_rico It covers his neuter, full veterinary exam, microchip/registration, dental cleaning and polish, antibiotic injection given to aid in the healing of both his neuter and dental cleaning, his current vaccines, ear exam which included needing the hair plucked from his ears, and pain meds to go home. It also covers the months of care, grooming costs, and training he has recieved since with us here ❤️

Story
Coco is a sweet, gentle 12-year-old senior boy with a heart full of love and a mellow soul. This quiet little guy is looking for a calm, caring home where he can be someone’s constant companion. Coco is a dream housemate. He has excellent manners, is house-trained, and simply enjoys being near his person. Whether he’s lounging in the sun, napping beside you, or keeping you company on a quiet afternoon, Coco brings a steady, peaceful presence to your home. He especially loves relaxing outdoors and rolling in the grass, making him a perfect match for someone who enjoys a laid-back lifestyle. Both of his pet sitters absolutely loved their time with him, describing him as sweet, friendly, and a pleasure to care for. He travels well, perks up when it’s time to go for a car ride, and gets along great with kids and other dogs. Coco does have some separation anxiety, which he manages well with a daily medication given at breakfast. When you’re home, he’s calm, happy, and content just being by your side. Medical Notes: · Blind in his left eye; receives daily eye drops to manage glaucoma and support tear production · Prone to yeast infections in his ears, which are manageable with regular care · Takes daily medication to help with separation anxiety · Neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations Coco’s ideal home would be a peaceful one—possibly with an older adult or someone who’s home often—where he can enjoy love, stability, and the companionship he craves. If you’re ready to welcome a sweet senior into your heart and home, Coco might be your perfect match. Contact Linda (linda@3rrescue.org) to learn more about adopting this lovable little guy. The adoption application and process can be found at https://www.3rrescue.org/adopt/adoption-process. html. Coco is in foster in Palm Springs, CA. However, transport can be arranged.
