She is a very sweet, sassy, confident little girl. She gets along great with other dogs and loves everyone she meets. Abigail is up to date on vaccines, spayed and will be microchipped soon. Valyn is a really special guy. Just Happy go Lucky kind of attitude. He was rescued from a very high kill shelter in Kern County. Valyn is such an ez boy to be with. He just is content no matter what he is doing. He greets you with a sweet wagging tail, would soak up a belly rub and be absolutely by your side. He is extremely well behaved. He is around 3 years old and weighs 18 pounds. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. Meet Leigha, a 8-year-old Shih Tzu who was rescued after being abandoned at a middle school. This little girl is the epitome of sweetness, with a heart full of love. Leigha loves to follow her favorite person around the house, always wanting to be close by. She thrives in the company of others, so she'd do best in a home with another dog (she's a big fan of her furry friends!) and with people who are home most of the day. Leigha can get a bit anxious if left alone, but does great if left with another friendly dog.She’s also a fantastic travel companion, enjoying car rides and outings. At night, she loves to curl up in bed with her family or is ok in bed with another dog. She also is ok being crated with another friendly dog (right now she is besties with a golden)! When it comes to walks, Leigha enjoys her time outside. We recommend her for a home with older kids (ages 4 and up) and someone who is ok with continuing her skin medication (helps with her allergies). Rescued from two drug dealers that tragically didn’t get her the care she needed after being hit by a car, Savannah suffered a broken pelvis and tail. Despite all fires and evacuations, thanks to Two Hands Four Paws and our amazing team, we were able to get her into emergency surgery, she’s on the road to recovery. Though she’s now a tripod, Savannah’s strength and spirit are undeniable.Savannah is in need of a foster home where someone can offer her the time and care she deserves. She does great with other dogs and hasn’t had any issues there. However, she does experience some separation anxiety, so she would thrive in a home where someone is around often to comfort her, hold her, and keep her close. Savannah will also need a patient person who understands that her journey to full recovery will take time (plus will support with getting her to physical therapy).If you can offer her the steady, loving home she needs to continue healing, please reach out. Meet Tater! He was found wandering in the high desert in CA, and despite efforts to locate his original owners, no one came forward to claim him. He is a poodle/Schnauzer mix estimated to be around 1-2 years old, is now ready to find his forever family! Tater is crate trained, potty trained, and does well on a leash. He has been in foster home with kids and dogs, but they’re not a requirement for his new home—he’s happy to go with the flow. At night, Tater sleeps quietly in his crate and waits patiently in the morning. Once he establishes trust, Tater is calm and affectionate, really bonding with his favorite people and is easy-going. He can be a bit wary of new people and protective of his favorite spots like the couch or bed, sometimes getting defensive if an unfamiliar person gets too close. While he can hang with other dogs at a distance, he tends to favor his favorite person. Tater would do best in a laid-back home with one or two people who know the ropes, where he can soak up plenty of attention, and take it easy with introductions to new people or pets. Whoever adopts Tater will be incredibly lucky—he’s sure to bring immense happiness to his new family. I love to play but I’m also happy just relaxing in my bed. I was rescued from the East Valley shelter where I was very frightened but I am thriving now that I am out. I can still be a shy guy with new people, but it doesn’t take too long for me to warm up and make friends (I promise I am worth the wait). I am being fostered with a senior spaniel and two cats and we all get along so well. I am house trained, too! I love walks and when my belly is rubbed.
