THIS IS BLISS (April, 2024) ...a wonderful, blissful little 14 lb, 5 yr old, b/w Shih Tzu, who came from the Riverside Shelter with a horrible case of kennel cough and a UTI. We put her on antibiotics, which cured her UTI, but unfortunately it didn't stop her from getting a nasty case of pneumonia :( Two weeks in the hospital and back at home, Bliss is a different dog! Minute she came home, she was so excited, jumping all around, playing with her toys and just acting like a puppy!!
With us, this little girl was the sweetest... potty trained, but we never guarantee. When she goes out to do her business, she is pretty quick! She will use a pp pad if you don't get her out 2-3 times daily, but she seems to hold it. Loves to ride in the car and just go everywhere with you if you'll take her! When you cuddle with her, she will stay in your arms forever as you pet and caress her body! Our thinking is she was probably with a good intentioned, but not knowledgeable family. With good nourishment (she loves to eat) some time, and a bit of patience, she will be a phenomenal addition to any family. Just started to give a few kisses, and she loves to chase toys! April, 2024 Bliss found her home...but not her forever home :(
CUT TO: December, 2024 We are not sure why, but Bliss was not content in her adoptive home. She was nippy with children and people wearing uniforms. She was good with her dad but not so much with her mom, so she has been returned. Once she nipped her in the nose, that was that. We are currently evaluating her behavior, as we were told she was unpredictable with her adoptive mom, just never the dad. We are thinking she might prefer men, so we are looking for a family for her with men and no children.
In addition, the ideal home for Bliss would be one where you are home a lot to give her the attention and exercise she needs to see the world. She seems to have developed fearful tendencies...so she will need time to acclimate. Loves other dogs, but we're not sure if she needs another dog or not. We think she could go either way...all depending on you. Experienced parents would be best, just in case.
Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID
