Story
Jack is a gentleman who's looking for a loving home with his mom, Laylabelle! These two were surrendered to the NYC ACC after their first family was evicted from their home, and while Layla was whisked off to get life-saving surgery, Jack was left in the shelter and watched his friends get adopted, while the person who was supposed to adopt Jack never came. Luckily for us, we heard that he was still there and were able to pull him instead, hoping that having a dog she knew would help Laylabelle settle and come out of her shell. And boy, did it! We're not 100% sure that Laylabelle is his mom, but based off their ages and how they reacted when they first saw each other again, that's our best guess. What we do know for sure is that these two have been basically inseparable since they've reunited and we couldn't be happier that they are able to be together again! And will hopefully never have to be separated again! These two are both super sweet and gentle but we are looking to place them into a home without any younger kids. We haven't cat tested them yet, but they would do great in a home with other dogs! If you'd like to see some videos of this adorable pair, you can check out our Facebook or Instagram accounts, where we were able to record their heartwarming reunion and you can hear Layla tell us all about how excited she is to have Jack back with her. And if you are interested in adopting this adorable duo, you can fill out an adoption application for them on our website, waywardranch.org!

Story
Meet Brownie..... Sweet Retired Breeding Mom.. Brownie was recently retired from a life of breeding for a puppy mill. This poor girl has probably had multiple litters and made lots of money for the mill. Brownie is a 8 year old female Shihtzu mix. She is considered fully hypoallergenic. She is very scared, and trying to adjust to home living. Typical behavior from a breeding mom from these mills. Brownie weighs 13 pounds and seems to be in great health. Bloodwork was done at the vets office and everything looks good. We would want to place Brownie in a home where the family understands her needs and will have patience with her. She will come out of her shell and will be a fantastic companion for someone. We prefer a home without young kids. Brownie is fine with other dogs and cats. She uses a wee wee pad and the outdoors for potty training. Being fostered in West Milford NJ *** Spay and Dental appointment is on Jan 16th We can do a foster to adopt - we would need her back for this appointment. Or Brownie can be adopted with zero adoption fee and her spay and dental would be covered by the adopters. Lots of options to chat about Send an email to Onepawatatimerescue@gmail.com and request an application ** Thats the only way to get an application Adoption fee $400 Foster to adopt available Or zero fee and medical is paid for by new adopters We adopt in the Tri State Area ONLY NY, NJ, CT, PA, RI, VT, MA, NH, DE

Story
Meet Romaine..... What a cuite... Romaine was booked for a NY state pet store this week. The new law that recently passed has NY pet stores canceling pups left and right. The mills want these pups gone, as that space is already being used with new pups. Rescues have been able to pull countless pups from these canceled orders lately. Romaine is a 12 week old male Shihtzu / Mini Poodle. He is considered fully hypoallergenic. Romaine weighs around 5 pounds, we estimate his full growth weight to be around 10 - 15 pounds. Romaine is very sweet, gentle and playful. He is adjusting well in his foster home and having lots of fun with the other pups and toys. Using a wee wee pad for potty training. Being fostered in Rockland County NY Send an email to Onepawatatimerescue@gmail.com and request an application ** Thats the only way to get an application Adoption fee is $950 We adopt in the Tri State Area ONLY NY, NJ, PA, CT, DE, NH, RI, VT, MA
