WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Meet Wyatt (that's me!), your next furry BFF! I'm here searching for a family, a home...one I can say will be ALL mine! Since you're reading this, could that possibly mean my family could be with YOU?!! I'm around 2years old which puts me at a fabulous age...out of the puppy destructive stage but still active and playful. I am super sweet and affectionate showering you with all my love!! I am super affectionate in my foster home. I love laying my head in your hand so you can rub the side of my face and ear. I also love snuggling on the couch especially with a nice soft fluffy blanket. I have the cutest lil head tilt when you talk to me! I also do great with the other pups and I mostly just leave the resident kitty alone. I come in at about 10lbs which is also a pawsomely perfect size for, well yes, everything. Neighborhood strolls, mild nature trails, co-piloting errand runs, supervising yard work, you name it I'm the fella for the task at hand!! I will need regular grooming to keep me looking this spectacular! A few weekly brushings and maybe a trip to the groomer every so often is a small price for this much handsomeness in one compact package!! Unfortunately my previous home didn't do that and I had to be shaved the whole way as my coat was super matted. But not to worry, it does grow back... with a little curl to it!! I will make a great companion for a family that is looking for a sweet lil boy that will be your BFF, your lil sidekick in all your life's adventures from mundane daily to weekend exciting!!! Secure fenced yard (no electric fences) and companion dog required     Misty is a 6 year old shih tzu who had a rough start to life. She is gentle and shy, and she has some quirks. Misty is unable to navigate down flights of stairs, so she needs to be carried. She can go up stairs just fine. She also is sometimes afraid of going outside, so again she needs to be picked up and carried.  Misty gets along with other dogs great and mostly just wants to chill near them. She is not rowdy nor is she very loud unless she’s been locked in her crate and she wants out. When she gets excited her whole body wiggles and she starts licking whoever is nearby.  Misty would be great in a quiet home where people are around often. She benefits from frequent potty breaks, gets excited for meals and takes treats gently. Misty will require at least one companion dog and a fenced yard.   If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Misty’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Meet Rufio! Rufio is a 1.5 year old Shih Tzu. He was surrendered to us because the original dog in his home was reactive towards him, causing stress for both Oreo and his family. He also was in desperate need of a good groom/de-matting. We happily took this boy in and gave him all the TLC he needed. He is now freshly groomed, up to date on vaccines, has been tested for heartworms and parasites, and is ready for his forever home! He is a very happy boy with lots of personality. He loves his toys and loves people as well! We have tested him with a couple of dogs here which he was fine with. He keeps his cage clean and goes potty on walks. He is still very young and we think he would do well in just about any home! His adoption fee is $400. The adoption fee includes their care, de-worming, microchip, neuter, vaccines, fecal test, and preventatives up to the point of adoption. In addition to their adoption fee, there is a $45 fee to cover the 6 months of heartworm prevention we will send home with each adoptee. Walter is a 10-year-old Shih Tzu rescued through the Humane Society. Walter only has his canine teeth left, so he will need canned food for the remainder of his life; but he just had a dental in June, so those remaining teeth are clean and polished! Walter is showing some signs of aging, but he is in very good shape. He tolerates some dogs but would prefer to be the only male, and he would be happiest if he was the star of the show. His favorite thing is going on a treasure hunt to find all of the toys. He brings them back to his bed and makes a huge pile of his bounty. Then he sits on his throne to survey all that he has accomplished. Walter appears to like men more than women. He loves to curl up and snuggle in the recliner on his foster dad's lap, but he refuses to sit long-term with his foster mom. She's trying not to take it personally, but he does follow her around the house. Walter has backpack all packed, and he's ready to travel. He would love to head out and see everything there is to see in the world! He loves looking out the window! Walter was recently groomed and will require regular grooming with his new adopters.
