Meet Wyatt (that's me!), your next furry BFF! I'm here searching for a family, a home...one I can say will be ALL mine! Since you're reading this, could that possibly mean my family could be with YOU?!! I'm around 2years old which puts me at a fabulous age...out of the puppy destructive stage but still active and playful. I am super sweet and affectionate showering you with all my love!! I am super affectionate in my foster home. I love laying my head in your hand so you can rub the side of my face and ear. I also love snuggling on the couch especially with a nice soft fluffy blanket. I have the cutest lil head tilt when you talk to me! I also do great with the other pups and I mostly just leave the resident kitty alone. I come in at about 10lbs which is also a pawsomely perfect size for, well yes, everything. Neighborhood strolls, mild nature trails, co-piloting errand runs, supervising yard work, you name it I'm the fella for the task at hand!! I will need regular grooming to keep me looking this spectacular! A few weekly brushings and maybe a trip to the groomer every so often is a small price for this much handsomeness in one compact package!! Unfortunately my previous home didn't do that and I had to be shaved the whole way as my coat was super matted. But not to worry, it does grow back... with a little curl to it!! I will make a great companion for a family that is looking for a sweet lil boy that will be your BFF, your lil sidekick in all your life's adventures from mundane daily to weekend exciting!!! Hi! My name is Chaparro and I am from Minnesota. From his foster: Chappy is an adorable 10 year that loves to be cuddled. He also like to have space to relax and take a nap. He is house trained so no kennel is necessary but he has been kenneled in the past. He cries for a few minutes when I leave but then settles down. He loves to tell me when something is going on outside. He does well on the lease and likes exploring the backyard. Chappy would do well in a female only home. Perhaps with some training he will get over his fear of men. He gets along with other dogs and older children. Chappy is just a lovable little guy that needs a home where he feels loved and safe.

Hi! My name is Cookie and I am from Minnesota. From her foster: Cookie a yorkipoo breeder release. She has diabetes and is blind, but still manages to be sweet and silly. She loves being with her humans and snuggles. She has strong opinions about being separated and will use her voice to let you know exactly how she feels. She is also pretty quick to settle down. She does seem to go potty and poop on a schedule but is also still prone to have accidents in the house. She doesn't have accidents in her kennel, on the furniture,or while being held. She does enjoy small walks and does okay on a leash. Because Cookie is blind I do feel that she would benefit from another small to medium sized dog in the house. She would need someone willing to keep a good schedule for her Insulin and to follow through with veterinarian appointments. From the Vet: I am Cookie and I have been cleared for adoption! After TBB helping to address my medical issues I will share where I am at with all of them. My diabetes is currently managed on 1.5 units of insulin twice daily and a special veterinary diet. My next recheck glucose curve (typically a day that I stay at the vet for monitoring throughout the day) will be due approximately 2-5 months from September 2024. I was seen for a mammary mass removal surgery recently and the good news is that the biopsy showed that the tumors were benign with good margins. This means that the removal procedure is likely to be curative for these masses and we do not expect me to need any future care for this issue. It is always good to routinely monitor for any masses and have them evaluated in the future should any present. Now that my mass removal is done and my diabetes is stable, I can be scheduled for my dental procedure. This procedure + 1 round of medications and a recheck appointment can be included in my adoption contract. If adopted prior to the dental, I can still go to my new home and settle in, but the adopter will be responsible for transport to this appointment.

Hi! My name is Penny and I am from Missouri. I am a 4 year old Shih Tzu. I am a little shy, but so eager to please! I get excited when I can get some pets from people, I like to bounce around and wag my tail! I would do best with another friendly dog in the home to show me around :) I like to eat my meals in my crate. I will go right to my crate and sit in my doggy bed to let you know that I am hungry. From her foster: Penny continues to come out of her shell. Comfortable snuggling on the couch next to her human, and hanging out on the bed at night, with the resident, Shih Tzu mix. Penny gets very excited when it is time to eat - and has a new found love of her tiny stuffed animals. Every day brings new opportunities for Penny to engage with her humans and the world around her. Penny would be okay in a home without a fence. It will take time for Penny to be comfortable with the outdoors, in the meantime, when she does go out, she never goes very far. Penny does best with slow introductions, if a child is respectful of her space, I think Penny would be okay. Penny likes playing with her toys, but don't think she is comfortable enough to play with her humans. Penny's foster works from home - so she hangs out in or near her crate inside of a play pen during the day. There are pee pads inside of the play pen - and one outside - Penny is catching on that she needs to pee on the pee pads. Lots of praise when she does so. At night Penny likes to hang out on the bed, but at some point, goes back to her crate to sleep for the night. Penny does not really need much exercise, she will have small bursts of energy - but then rests again. Penny is very quiet - would be fine in an apartment building. Penny does very well with the resident dog - who is also small - they will lie down next to each other but never really interact - other than an occasional sniff. Penny can be left alone (in her crate) and does not appear to have separation anxiety. Penny is getting less fearful of men - her biggest fear is the outdoors. She will go out - but wants to come right back in again. Penny would probably benefit from training - to feel more comfortable with humans - but is gradually becoming more comfortable on her own. Penny is a big fan of food - so treats, work well for training. Penny will lovingly gaze into her human's eye's and totally melt their heart. She is so sweet -and quite charming.
