Story
Bridget is one of the three shih tzu's we pulled from Baldwin County. We aren't sure of their history as they were found as stray. Her foster's report she is the sweetest girl! She loves being outside on squirrel duty. She is very good at her job! She loves to snuggle and get loves. She will demand a spot on the couch or in your bed for snuggles. Bridget has no food aggression but does try to eat her’s and everyone else’s food. So being fed separately would be best. Bridget does get snippy with other dogs if she is snuggling with her people. Her foster's are working to correct that behavior. Any other time she is great with other dogs. She is unbothered by kitties. When someone comes home they are instantly greeted with kisses and a little song of her people. Fenced in yard is required and when the door is opened she does need to be monitored as she will try to run out to check things out. Story
Hellooooooo nice person! I’m Bianca. So I see you are looking for a dog? Well, that’s amazing! Because I am a dog! But I’m not just any dog, I am a shih tzu, iykyk. Yep, I am the package deal. I am fun-loving, enjoy hanging out and watching TV, can snuggle like nobody’s business, and great at basking in the sun while you garden. I have been learning to play and finding out what it is like to be in a home where a dog can be treated really nice. You see, my background is kinda shady. They said I was a stray, along with two other dogs just like me. How can that be? [insert shrugged shoulders here] I had to get all my hair cut off because it was matted really bad. Look how it is growing back!! Soft and silky and oh so pretty. Sometimes my head tilts just a little bit. The doc said I have an old injury to one of my ear drums, but it won’t cause me any problems. All you have to do is clap your hands and I know it is time to go back inside, or maybe it is time to eat, or if you just want my attention. You can always do the normal and call be my name too. It’s really not a problem at all. I would love to have a friendly dog as a role model. I have learned a lot in my foster home where there are some really smart doggies teaching me the ropes. I can be a little possessive of my foster mom when I am in her lap getting loving. I don’t want another dog interfering with my “me time”. The rest of the time, I am a mellow participant in this home. I haven’t been around children or cats. Probably would do better if there isn’t a young child. As for cats, I would more than likely get on their nerves with my nosey self. A fenced yard would be great for me as I am learning how to walk on a leash without grabbing it in my mouth. Please put in an app for me. I am ready for my happy-ever-after. Bianca is about 3 years old and just under 10 pounds. Great health, but does have an old injury to one of her ear drums. She is doing great on housetraining if taken out routinely. A few things preferred: a fenced yard, a friendly companion dog, a kind and patient adopter. Bianca is not perfect, but she tries with all of her heart.
