Gizmo's Background: Gizmo is a 9-year-old Shih Tzu who was surrendered to the rescue. He was surrendered because he was picking on the family's Labrador Retriever, who was very scared of him. Medical and Behavioral Information: Gizmo is neutered and microchipped. He is current on all his vaccinations and shots. Gizmo can be a bit grumpy, so he would not do well in a home with small children. He would thrive best as an only dog, where he would receive all the attention and affection. Gizmo is described as a "lap dog" or "shadow" who enjoys spending time close to his owner. Ideal Adoptive Home: Gizmo would do great in a home with an older adult who can provide him with the attention and care he needs. He would not be a good fit for a family with young, energetic children due to his grumpy tendencies. As an only dog, Gizmo can receive all the love and focus from his new owner, which seems to be what he desires.
