Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 2/21/25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Chloe to our trip for the right home 💕
Meet our beautiful girl Chloe. She turns 2 on 3/5/25. She weighs 13.2 lbs. Yes, she is full grown and at a very healthy weight. She is a shih tzu/poodle mix. Yes, she is hypoallergenic and doesn't shed. She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, had an umbilical hernia repaired at time of her spay, had an overall great exam with our vet, and has officially been cleared to find a home all her own ❤️
She is house trained, and will go outside to use the restroom when needed. We have a very tight schedule here, and will ask if she needs to be let out every 2-3 hours. If she does, she will walk right out, if not she will simply not 😊
She is crate trained, and currently sleeps in her crate at night. Regardless of how you use the crate in your home; whether for her to sleep in at night, or to be in while you step out of the home she will be just fine. She is very easy going, and attentive to what you ask of her. She would happily sleep on a dog bed aside yours, or in bed if that's what you prefer, but she hasn't begun that with us here. None the less it would be an easy transition.
She is doing very good at leash training. It is still new to her as her past owners never walked her. They were a much older couple, who had mobility issues so they couldn't do much out of the home with her aside from enjoy her company in the home. That was ultimately what led them to us here. Their medical issues were increasingly getting worse to the point they couldn't lift Chloe anymore, and they feared if she ever had an emergency they wouldn't be able to get her into their vehicle and to the vets so they asked us to take her in and find her a great new home where she would be valued, and treasured ♥️
She is very good with other dogs, but prefers human companionship over animals. She is a total sweetheart all around. She isn't a barker at all, and is one to hang back while her humans investigate any noise lol. She is very easy going, and not high energy or high maintenance. She is very easy to please, and a joy to be around.
She is amazing at the groomers, and loves her spa days. My groomer told us that she completely melts for her, and loves the pampering a little too much 😂
She is great on road trips, and loves to drive around town so I'm sure that she no matter the length of journey ahead she will be happy just to be a part of it!
She loves treats (especially cheese 🙃.) She is very good motivated which has made training very easy. She is well behaved, and well mannered. She is perfect in our home, and has respected every boundary we have put up for her. She is quiet, and very serene natured. She loves to nap, and sometimes likes to lay perched up on the sofa. She lived with cats in her prior home, so they taught her the scenery is better from a higher point 😆
Her adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/chloe-2
It covers her spay. She was in heat at time of spay, so there was an in heat spay increase due to longer anesthesia time. It also covers her umbilical hernia repair that was done at time of her spay, her vaccines, microchip/registration, antibiotic injection given to aid in her in heat spay, and hernia repair, her exam with our vet which included the exam of her ears, and teeth which were both in great health, and as always it helps contribute towards the care involved in the time she has been with us, her grooming costs, and the training we have personally done with her ❤️
