Story
Coey is a 2 year old mixed breed (your guess is as good as ours!), who weighs 50 pounds of pure heart. Whether you're into trail runs, hiking, or scenic car rides, Coey is eager to join. This golden boy loves nothing more than exploring the great outdoors, and he's happiest when he's doing it alongside his favorite people. When he's not out and about, he can be found relaxing in the sun or lounging on the couch with a chew toy. He is a confident boy who is calm and well-mannered in public, making him a fantastic companion wherever he goes. He is quiet in his crate and great with kids. No cats for this sweet boy! Adjusting to a new home means learning new potty routines. He is fully housebroken in his foster home, but an adoptive home should expect a few accidents while he gets used to his new environment. Coey enjoys meeting other dogs who will match his boisterous attitude while romping around. Coey loves a good challenge and has mastered the art of scaling fences, so he will need a watchful eye to keep him from his next great adventure. If you're ready for an intelligent and loyal companion, Coey is your guy. He's waiting for the perfect home that can match his curious spirit and give him the love he deserves. Meet Blizzard! Age: Senior Weight: 27 lbs Breed: Shiba Inu Prefers: no other dogs in home, no young kids, has not been cat tested House trained: Yes Likes: Scent walks, brain games, toys Special needs: None Any requirements for a new home: Needs a patient owner with dog experience Blizzard is a sweet and timid pup who is looking for a patient home where he can thrive. This senior guy has great house manners and enjoys showing off his leash skills on walks where he can do LOTS of sniffing, he loves playing with toys and loves pets. He is a happy boy, but prefers to be the only dog in the home so he can have all of our love and attention. Blizzard is in great health but was previously diagnosed with Lyme. He is not expected to have long term needs related to this. He can be a bit skittish and prefers to come to people rather than be pursued. This pup is a great dog who would benefit from a more experienced dog handler who is willing to be patient with him and go at a speed that makes him most comfortable. He can be really loving and affectionate to his people and has so much to give, could you be his special person? Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and then a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $300, ($550 for a pair). Story
Meet Timmy, a shy but incredibly sweet boy who's looking for a patient and loving home. Timmy may be a little reserved at first, but once he feels comfortable, his gentle nature shines through. Unfortunately, Timmy lost his eye due to a chronic eye issue, but that doesn't slow him down-he's just as loving and playful as any pup! Timmy would thrive in a home with another dog to help him feel more secure and confident. If you're looking for a sweet, quiet companion who will blossom with time and love, Timmy could be the perfect addition to your family. From his holiday foster: "Thank you for allowing us to love on Timmy this past week. He made soo much progress each day. From having to be picked up just to get him anywhere the first day to walking confidently around the block (multiple time a day by his request). He was the sweetest boy and I'm excited he's going back more confident and more ready for his furever home. We do believe he'll be better with a fully fenced in yard. He wanted to be outside constantly and walk around. Allowing him to be more would make him happier. As you know he needs another dog to help him gain confidence, he walked so well with your other dog and she would help encourage him to do things."
