Meet Trudy! She's about 6 years old and weighs around 30 pounds. We believe he looks like a Shiba Inu/Chihuahua - JUST A GUESS. Are you looking for a spunky girl who will keep you on your toes? Trudy is your girl! She loves her walks and she loves to play fetch. Trudy is house & crate trained (doesn't need the crate but will go in) and she’s past the puppy destructive stage. If you have a cat, pass on this girl. As for other dogs, I think she’d prefer to be an only dog because she wants ALL of your attention. She does visit homes with dogs and does ok but needs a forever home as the only dog. Trudy is very smart and highly trainable, as long as you provide the right motivation. Trudy’s need for attention is sometimes displayed in bossy ways (jumping on you) so she would do best in a home with an adopter who is experienced and willing to give boundaries and do training. Another requirement is that there are no young children in the home. Trudy’s left ear is permanently folded forward. I think it gives her character and I bet there’s a story there…if only she could talk. Thankfully it doesn’t seem to bother her when you touch it. Trudy is always ready for the next adventure. No matter if it’s a walk, a game of fetch or a ride in the car - she’s in! If you think Trudy would be a good fit for your home/life, apply for her today!!! I have had Comey since 9/2017 and unfortunately my 6 year old was tested after me seeing he has this “allergy cough” that I started to suspect was asthma. It turns out he’s severely allergic to Comey. Comey does not bark, is very clean, and it’s comfortable being alone and also being a lap dog. He does not have separation anxiety or food aggression and he’s been around my 4 and 6 year old without incident. Although because of his skittish nature I would not allow him to interact with the children unsupervised. He’s a happy playful smart dog that knows how do to plenty of tricks. He’s very adaptable enjoying play and lounging around the house equally.
