Story
Shilo is my name. Hebrew in origan, Shilo means “Tranquil or Peaceful One”. Right there says it all!    I ann initially Shy and Timid, due to being a breeder surrender and having little socialization with people.  While in Rescue, I’ve grown in personality, playfulness and trust through new experiences provided by a caring volunteer team.   At a healthy 6 years of age, about 30#, I still have spring in my step and like to play with other dogs. I also am calm, well-mannered and seem to be house trained. Heck, I don’t even bark! I am initially shy, hence the name Shilo, and it will take some patience and TLC for me to adjust to a new home and environment. We Shiba Inu’s were initially breed in Japan for hunting.  Just look at my photo, you see hues of Red, Golden, Orange, Chestnut and White with deep dark eyes. Our size and coloration make us look like a well-fed fox! With this said, a 4 foot fence will be required to adopt me for my safety. So, with all the said Positives about me, guess you can see why it’s a POSITIVE to adopt me.   No puppy stage and still years of love left on me. I’m Shilo, and I’m ready for the next chapter of my life! Are you? To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Story
Are you ready for adventure, to hit the “Back Country”, take it “Down Hill” or just “Free Style” it with a new best friend? Well, let me tell you, I’m Aspen and I’m the one to help you get those “Snowy Vibes”! Your not going to “Wipe Out” if you adopt me. Though a mere 15# and 9 months, I’ll make “First Tracks” on our walks. I’m no “Novice” when it comes to walking on leash. I’m also potty trained, keeping a clean “Training Camp”. But I'm only 1/2 a team. My bro Yukon, 20#, and I have not been seperated since birth. Together we are a "Full Team" and would LOVE to be adopted TOGETHER. I must admit, he is a COOL dude. We were surrendered with “No Dedications” or cause on our part. Together you would have “35” pound of loving, playful and the most “People Pleasing Pooches” Ever! Being Shinu Inu, we do have a fuzzy red/golden/orange/chestnut & white coat that resembles a Fox, so a 4 ft fence is required so we don’t “Drift” away and get shot for a fox. We are both VERY OUTGOING after initial shyness is over. We are great with other dogs and people of all ages, young or old. After a day of play, we are ready to “Wipe Out” on your “Lap”. So come on bring in the fun and festivities. I’m Aspen, your kind of “Snow Bunny” who will “Fall like Fresh Snow” onto your heart. Aspen - smaller, girl, 15# Yukon - larger, boy, 20# We’re spayed/neutered and ready for homes. Story
Yukon Canada is considered the BEST region in Canada for outdoor fun and adventure. Well, I’m YUKON of Pennsylvania and considered the BEST little Shinu Inu for snuggling, hugging and just having a good time! I’m an outdoor/indoor fun loving 20#, 9 month little boy that loves adventure then ready to sack it in for the night. Friendly, well let me tell you. I just love other dogs and people “Of All Ages”. Shy at first meet with 2-leggeds, once warmed up I’m as good as “YUKON Gold”! I walk on a leash, am kennel, crate and “House” Trained. Yes, I keep a clean “Tundra”! My sister, Aspen, is also looking for a loving home. We have never been separated and hope to remain together for life. I must admit, she is a CUTIE PIE, for a girl. We were surrendered for no fault of ours. Aspen weighs a petite 15#, so together you would have “35” pound of most loving, playful and “People Pleasing Pooches” Ever! Being Shinu Inu, we do have a fuzzy red/golden/orange/chestnut & white coat that resembles a Fox, so a 4 ft fence is required so we don’t amber off into the great outdoors and get shot for a fox. Want to “Light up Your Life” like the Aurora Borealis? I’m Yukon, a little boy with a HUGE personality who is looking for love. Story
Hi, I’m Sal! I came to the shelter as a stray, and now I’m ready to find my forever home. I’m a sweet little guy with a gentle soul, but I do have some unique needs that make me best suited for an experienced and patient family.I can be a bit sensitive about handling, so I would thrive in a home with children aged 8 or older who understand and respect my boundaries. I also tend to feel anxious at times, so I’m looking for a Shiba Inu-savvy family that can help build my confidence and guide me as I grow into my best self.I absolutely love being around people and soaking up all the TLC I can get. While I can be selective with other dogs, I may do well with a canine companion in the right home. My feelings about cats are still a mystery, so a slow introduction would be key if there’s a feline family member. One important note: I’m a potential flight risk, so a secure environment and extra vigilance will be essential to keeping me safe.If you’re experienced with Shiba Inus and ready to give me the love and guidance I need, I promise to reward you with endless affection and loyalty. Are you the special family I’ve been waiting for?---If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared --bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open daily 12-6pm.---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Prince St. Lancaster PA 17603Kennel #16516717-917-6979lancaster@pspca.org

Story
***Courtesy Post*** Cora is a 3 year old Shiba Inu. She is spayed and crate trained. She was Amish bread and May not be full blood Shiba Inu, but that's not known. My family received Cora from one of my co-workers, who was rehoming Cora for her uncle and his wife. As they were aging they became unable to care for Cora and give her the life she needed. We weren't given any history on Cora other than that she needed her shots updated. We got her shots updated at Happy Tails that in Lancaster City. As we were getting to know Cora, she quickly displayed some resource guarding with toys at first. I had a smaller dog who loved to steal the toys and when my smaller dog did that Cora leaped into action and we knew that the dogs needed to be separated. I thought about rehoming Cora at that point but was introduced to Devin Fink and his most gracious training skills through Pink Dog rescue and we began to work with Cora on her resource guarding, behavior and her manners. We definitely were seeing better behavior better, better manners, however she still has some resource guarding behavior issues when she attaches herself to her favorite person. I think Cora would do really well in a single dog home or in a home with bigger dogs who can keep her in check. A family who can maintain her behavior training and are able to look out for her resource guarding and implement accommodations. She really is a good girl she just has some things to work on, like all of us! THANK YOU, LeeAnne [Mobile] (717) 615-0188 [Home] Lancaster, PA You can also contact Canine Services By Devin

Story
Kenji was saved from an Amish Farm. He is a purebred Shiba Inu, he is from a litter of just one pup. Which I think is the reason why he is a little huskier than the average Shiba. Kenji is friendly, playful and loving. He loves to play tug of war and play fight. He loves to chase squirrels, chipmunks and birds. He loves veggies, hates watermelon and apples. We have had him for over 2 years and unfortunately due to health issues we will need to give him away. We are heartbroken and would love to find an another loving home for him. We are located in Lancaster, PA. Must be willing to travel here for the meet and greet.
