Story
Milo’s a 8yo 21lb Shiba Inu mix. He loves kids and ok with other dogs but seems to prefer them not around. He’s housebroken when kept on a schedule and crate trained. He’s good with a secure fenced in yard and going for harness leashed walks. He loves toys, people especially to cuddle with. He’s loving, loyal, happy and chill. He loves to run and play fetch in his fosters secure fenced in yard. Milo’s foster requires a home with a secure fenced in yard, active people along with giving leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Milo as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Milo’s neutered, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Jenkintown, PA. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org

Story
Nellie is a 5 year old Shiba Inu. We got her as a puppy in 2020. She is snuggly, playful, energetic and loves people. She doesn’t do well with other pets or young children. She is an anxious dog that would thrive in a calm home environment. The perfect home for Nellie would be one where she is the only kid - someone who can take her on adventures and play fetch with her or just snuggle with her. Unfortunately, we have to rehome our sweet girl after she bit our daughter who was trying to play with her. Nellie will do fine with older children who can understand Nellie’s signals for “leave me alone” (baring teeth, side eye) but younger children just cannot comprehend. She deserves a loving home where she can be the center of attention.

Story
This Prince is looking for a new kingdom. Prince lived a very pampered life with his lady and then she unfortunately became very ill and had to give him up. A family friend took Prince in, and he lived 3 years with a great family until changes in the living situation made it impossible for him to stay. So, Prince ended up here at the shelter where he is looking now for a new home. Prince is shy and quiet, he will need time to relax in his new home. He is crate trained and housebroken. He has lived with kid`s chickens and other dogs. Prince is good with grooming and loves car rides. Is your kingdom ready for its Price? If so he`s here at the shelter waiting for you!

Story
Meet Oakley — your loyal, ball-loving best friend At around 5½ years old and 40 pounds, Oakley is the perfect mix of beauty and devotion. She’s a sweet, affectionate girl who absolutely loves being pet and spending quality time with her person. Once she bonds with you, her loyalty truly shines.Oakley’s favorite activities include playing fetch (she prefers a two-ball system because giving one up is negotiable unless there’s another ready ), going for long walks, and playing tug with her toys. She especially loves being outside, whether she’s exploring or just relaxing alongside someone she loves.Oakley would do best as the only pet in the home and in an adult-only household, where she can feel safe, comfortable, and truly be the center of attention. In the right environment, she will be an incredibly loving and devoted companion. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and affectionate dog to share your days with, Oakley might just be your perfect match Apply to adopt Oakley at bcaaofnj.org Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! Story
🚨 Monica – grieving, gentle, and running out of time 💔 Monica has already lost everything… and now she’s sitting alone. She came into the shelter with her sister—the only comfort she had left. Then suddenly, her sister was gone. And now Monica waits in her kennel… quiet, confused, and alone. But even after all of that… she is still so incredibly sweet. This beautiful Shiba/Shepherd mix is just 37 lbs—a perfect, manageable size—and has the softest, most loving nature. She enjoys chasing a ball, but what she really wants is someone to love her. She doesn’t ask for much. Just kindness. Patience. A person of her own. ✨ Only 37 lbs ✨ Gentle, affectionate, and loving ✨ Playful but calm ✨ Heartbroken, but still hopeful She has every reason to shut down… but she hasn’t. She’s still choosing love. Please don’t let her grieve—and be overlooked—at the same time. Monica deserves to leave the shelter not in loss… but in the arms of someone who will never let her go. 🐾 Be the one who saves her.
