Story
Lambeau is a young Shiba Inu who found his way to the VAO. He is gentle natured and looking for a good home. Shibas are clever little dogs who do require daily exercise to keep them happy and healthy. Lambeau will do well with another dog to help him settle in. He will need a secure fenced yard and is recommended for an adult home. He is shy and will need some time to warm up and feel secure. Lambeau is sensitive, polite and quiet. If you have experience with the breed and are interested in meeting Lambeau, head on over.

Story
This is Pepper, she is a black Shiba Inu, and she is a senior dog with dementia and arthritis. She is approx. 13 years old, and we were lucky enough to adopt her 10 years ago, after she was rescued from a puppy mill. Pepper is a very sweet and gentle dog who has unfortunately developed cognitive and behavioral issues in her old age. Pepper barks when people she does not know enters her space, or if she is by herself. She sometimes gets frantic in the middle of the night. Pepper also loves treats, belly rubs, and being outside. She is also a pretty chill dog once she is comforted and is near people she feels safe with. We love Pepper, but my wife and I have 2 young children now, and we unfortunately cannot give her the care and attention that she needs in her current condition. We hope that who ever adopts her will love her despite her flaws and be able to give her the love that she deserves, all the way to the end of her remaining years.
