Story
This dog is part of our shelter outreach program where we take dogs from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them and cannot guarantee they are housebroken.  They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Garland is an 8-month-old 30 lb Shiba Inu mix who’s as handsome as he is smart! This awesome boy already knows his basic commands and is eager to keep learning—he’d absolutely shine in obedience classes. Garland would love a home with a fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and show off his playful side. He’s dog-friendly and would make a great companion for an active household ready to keep his sharp mind engaged. If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent pup with tons of potential (and good looks to match!), Garland might just be your perfect match. *Per JSAC policy, puppies and kittens under 6 months will not be adopted to families with children under the age of 6 years.April 11, 2026, 12:49 pm

Story
Tsuyu has been a beloved part of my life since he was 6 months old. He has always had a gentle, sensitive nature—sometimes a little timid—but incredibly sweet, loving, and deeply loyal to his person. He grew up alongside my childhood cat, Fred, and the two shared a special bond and were the best of friends. Since Fred’s passing in January 2026, Tsuyu has gone through a big emotional change, and it’s been an adjustment for him. Tsuyu recently moved with me into a new apartment, and while he’s done his best, he’s had difficulty settling into this environment. He can be vocal at times and experiences separation anxiety, which shows just how strongly he bonds and how much he thrives on companionship. I truly believe Tsuyu would flourish in a home that offers a calmer, more spacious setting—ideally with someone who enjoys the outdoors or has the time to provide him with consistent companionship and reassurance. In the right environment, his loving and devoted personality really shines.

📌 Important Adoption Information: All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. • Rescue Story: Meet Ellong 👋 Ellong was found on the streets of South Korea in 2018 and rescued just moments before euthanasia. Against the odds, she survived—and in 2021, she finally found what we all believed was her forever home. Sadly, after four years of being part of a family, Ellong was returned to the shelter. We were heartbroken and confused to hear that she was said not to coexist well with another dog—after four years together. Despite this painful chapter, Ellong remains one of the most well-behaved and gentle dogs at the shelter. She carries no bitterness, only quiet hope. We truly wish for Ellong to find a real forever home this time—one that will stand by her, cherish her, and never abandon her again💛 • Personality: Affectionate, Gentle, Friendly Ellong is full of affection and loves people. She adapts quickly to new places. Energy level is mid-low. • Affinity with - Dogs: Does well around other dogs - Cats: Not tested - Adults/Kids: Great with all people / Hasn't experienced kids, but we believe she would be fine with calm older kids. • Housetrained: Uses pee-pads indoors and the bathroom outdoors. • Walking Manners: Loves sniffing around on walks. • Bathing/Brushing: Good with both • Separation Anxiety: None. • Barks/Howls: Quiet • Car Rides: Good with car rides. • Appetite/Food Allergies: No food allergies found so far • Likes/Dislikes: Loves belly rubs the most! • Shedding level (1~10): 6-7 • Health: Ellong is suspected to have grade 1.5 patellar luxation. Maintaining a healthy weight and engaging in regular exercise are recommended to help preserve her current condition. Otherwise, she is a healthy, happy pup ready for her forever family! 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Your support directly helps us continue rescuing and caring for dogs in need, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.

Story
**Located in Korea** Meet Glinda! She is surely going to be pop-u-lar! Rescue Story: As a puppy, she went home with a family that had four children. The kids begged to have a dog and, without any preparation, they family decided to adopt. As she grew, she began to shed, and the children became frightened. They decided to tie her up in the parking lot and left her there, neglected, for two years. The family that adopted her said that they couldn't take her with them when they moved, so she was abandoned in a parking lot and was unfortunately infected with heartworm (which has since been cured!) More About Glinda: Energy Level (1-10): 6.5 3 Keywords: Playful, Affectionate, Smart She barks when strangers visit, and sometimes barks as if she's talking when she wants something - a great communicator! When she goes for a walk, she gets scared when motorcycles or loud cars pass by. She's afraid of machine noises. However, she walks well without pulling on the leash. Despite her fear of loud noises when walking, her foster thinks she would do just fine living in the city. Favorite Things: She enjoys sniffing around and exploring! Apply to make Glinda your fateful sidekick today! ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs. Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States. ##1843734##
