Story
Sunny is an excitable, playful, and highly social dog. He is great with other dogs, especially those who want to get into some rough-and-tumble play with him. He's about a year and four months old, and we adopted him a few months ago from the pound. We are looking to re-home him because upon adopting him, we recognized that his energy needs are simply higher than we are able to offer as owners (his behavioral presentation was quite different at the pound, and his previous owners had unfortunately left no notes about him at home). Sunny is curious, independent, loves games and puzzles, and loves to play. He would be excellent in a home with a yard where he can do some sniffing enrichment, or in a home with another dog who loves to playfully roughhouse a bit. We're listing him with a $0 adoption fee because it's very important to us that he's in a good home, and we want to make that as easy as possible for him and you. If you like a sweet and energetic dog, Sunny is the one for you!

She may be shy at first but warms up quickly. Good with adult men? ⚠️ Initially fearful of unfamiliar men. She does well when approached calmly and gently. Good with children? ⚠️ She doesn’t seem particularly fond of children, but she tolerates petting and walks nicely with them. Good with other dogs? ✔ Yes, with slow introductions. She takes time to warm up but does well once she’s comfortable. Kids: Great with children — no signs of fear or sensitivity. Other Dogs: Gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes. Cats: Has not lived with cats before. Aggression: No history of aggression. Food drive: Loves treats, but never shows food aggression. Energy Level: 2–3 out of 5 — calm to moderately active. 🏡 Training & Behavior Leash-trained: Yes Crate-trained: Yes House-trained: Yes — she goes potty outdoors. Barking: Rarely barks. Thanks to the rescuer, Nau got a second chance at life and is now waiting for a loving forever family.
