Location : Korea Adoption inquiries: wds3628@nate.com ▶ (relationship with dogs) : It takes some time to get closer at the first time but, she tends to get along well unless some dog tries to playing too much. She likes to hang out with their friends. ▶ (relationship with cats) : Not the severe hunting but, she is not friendly with cats. It is not recommended with the house where the cats are living. ▶ (relationship with people) : From the time of the rescue, she was on the alert but, not aggressive at all. She doesn’t come to you first, but she even doesn’t refuse to be touched. When she gets confident or strangers visit your house then she could bark at the first time. But she only barks without any other reactions like warning or other additional actions. ▶ (house trained) : outdoor defecation ▶ (walks on leash) : She can slowly do it well. At the first time, she feared cars but, now she is good at it. In the narrow roads, when the car or bike, motorcycle pass through, then she waits until the transportation goes. If you forcibly pull her, you must be careful because she would step back. ▶ (special notes) : She is domesticated while she spent more than one year with temporary protection family, but she is still afraid of people’s touch. She lives quietly and peacefully at home nowadays. There is no problem staying along with young children. She likes to listen to bird’s chirping and appreciating the scene of landscape while sitting on the deck. It is preferred the house with wide yard. I hope Meso meet the family who will take care and accept her at it is.

Story
Hi! My name is Frida, and I am waiting to be matched to a home in Los Angeles! I was rescued from the dog meat trade in South Korea by the DoVE Project. My fate would have been to live in fear and distress, watching dogs being led to slaughter for human consumption. DoVE Project heard about me, and now I am looking for my forever family! ID/NAME: DV23-011 / Frida SEX/WEIGHT/AGE: Female / 19 lbs / 4 Years BIRTH DATE: September 1st, 2019 BREED: Shiba mix VACCINATIONS/SPAY/NEUTER/HEALTH: Vaccinations complete / Spayed / Healthy BEHAVIOR: Frida is a calm and gentle pup. She's a bit timid around new people and needs time to warm up. Once she does, she loves being pet. She gets along well with other dogs. SIBLINGS/FAMILY: Unknown BACKGROUND: Rescued in July 2023 from a slaughterhouse in Namyangju. ABOUT JINDOS Jindos are known for their fierce loyalty, high intelligence, rarely barking, and playful nature. They make great indoor family dogs, as Jindos are clean and easily housetrained, and are faithful to family members. They are also mid-level active and love being socialized at dog parks, going on hikes, and joining the family on trips. ABOUT OUR DOGS DoVE dogs come from a traumatic background such as dog meat farms and slaughterhouses. While many of our dogs acclimate within a few months with consistency, structure, and patience, some of our more sensitive dogs can take longer to rehabilitate. It's important to note that these sensitive dogs are even more attuned to human emotions and behavior, making for a deeper connection human-dog connection. DoVE Project is committed to helping our adopters desensitize and socialize our dog meat trade survivors. ********************************* DoVE Project operates a shelter in South Korea, where our dogs stay until they are matched with an adopter. In the US, our dogs stay in foster homes or in boarding, as we do not have a physical facility. These dogs are identified with "in LA" in their names. Please note that we only adopt our pups in the Southern California area. Please check our website for more information regarding our adoption process, our mission, and adoption application: https://www.dove-project.org/adoption-process If you are interested in adopting, please complete an online application at: https://www.dove-project.org/adoption-application-form.

She didn't approach strangers just by observing them from afar, but she didn't bark. * She took a while to warm up to the other dogs at the foster home. * She is very timid girl. Needs some time to warm up with everything. * Please be patient with her. * Please move slowly and stay quiet as possible until she gets used to staying with you. * Successfully her nail! * She is a very curious girl. Meet Joy🩷 Joy is the sweetest pup! She is gentle and adorable and steals everyone’s heart. * Toward People: Loves everyone regardless of age or gender! Is a charming sweetheart who wags her tail to greet even strangers. Keeps porking her head in to be petted because she loves to be caressed. Is so gentle that she gets startled and immediately takes a hand out that accidentally ends up in her mouth when she is playing. * Toward Dogs: Gets along well with her best friend Mansoo #AdogsMansoo, with whom she shares kennel. Greets other dogs nicely whom she encounters while out for walks. However, because she tends to play a bit rough, it is important to keep an eye on her when she meets other dogs in an off-leash area. * Separation Anxiety: Is unknown since she is staying in group at the Adogs Center. * Potty Training: Uses outdoor potty in the Cener. *Hygiene: Behaves well during baths. * Walks: Is adept at walking side by side with a walker, without pulling on the leash. 💗 * Car sickness: None. 💌Special Note💌 * Mastered commands like "sit" and "shake hands"!

Story
Meet Kkotbun❤️ In the fall of 2022, Kkotbun was brought to Korean city shelter along with five puppies. Despite the challenges of raising her puppies alone, she managed to care for them until they were healthy and well-fed. All her puppies have been adopted, and now Kkotbun is waiting for her forever family. * With People: Needs a bit of time to warm up to people. Gets frightened by sudden or large movements, making her trembled with fear. Once she gets used to someone, she may follow them around and respond when called. Follows familiar people with waaging her tail and comes closer to them when called. * With Dogs: Get along peacefully with other dogs while staying at the center but didn’t actively initiate play. Used to occasionally enjoy spending time alone in a shaded corner, basking in the breeze. In her foster home, she doesn't show much interest when she meets other dogs. * Separation Anxiety: Does well alone when her family goes out. Is calm and independent, engaging in play on her own when left alone. * Potty Training: Currently limited to indoor potty as she hasn’t started walking outside. Sometimes covers potty pads with her nose, so artificial grass was introduced, and she now uses it successfully. * Hygiene: Exhibits defensive nipping during baths out of fear. While she doesn’t enjoy brushing, she tolerates it. Gets very scared during nail clipping, which may lead to potty accidents. * Walking: Due to the risk of running away, Kkotbun hasn’t been on outdoor walks yet. Does not like being grabbed, so she’s undergoing gradual training for this. Consistent practice has reduced her aversion to wearing an all-in-one harness. * Car Sickness: Experiences mild car sickness. * Is timid and scared of sudden noises, such as rustling bags or falling objects. * While she’s okay with being petted or having her paws touched, she’s frightened of being picked up or held tightly. ** Health Status: Kkotbun is missing one lower incisor, and her right lower canine tooth is broken and shorter. However this does not affect her eating or daily activities. 💙 Foster's Instagram: @kkotbun2_

Story
Meet an affectionate boy, Duke! He is still living in a city shelter in Korea where there is euthanasia. The conditions at the city shelter are very poor. Right now, Korea is suffering from the heat... We want to rescue him and get him out of the euthanasia crisis but ADOGS center is currently unable to rescue him because there is no space left to rescue additional dogs. If his family is decided, we will take him to the vet for a checkup, and if he has disease such as heartworm infection, he will go to you after treatment.(ADOGS pays for treatment)

Story
Meet Yangpa❤️ (It means onion in Korean) Yangpa was brought to the shelter in 2022, and during her year-long stay, a hernia developed, prompting an immediate rescue. Hernia surgery went well and the lump on her hind legs was removed successfully. She is currently healthy and in good shape. * Toward People: Good. Wags her tail at the sight of people. * Toward Dogs: Shows little interest in other dogs. No trouble with other dogs, since he quietly growls to show he doesn't want to be bothered if bothered by them. * Separation Anxiety: Is unknown since she lives with other dogs at the Center.. * Potty Training: Only does outdoors since she lives in the center. * Hygiene: Tolerates bathings and having a hair cut nicely. She doesn't like trimming her nails, but she doesn't overreact, and she takes ear-cleaning well. * Walks: Excellent on walks. Occasionally stops and looks off into space but walks in step side by side. * Car Sickness: Enjoys vehicle rides without experiencing motion sickness, and enters the car on her own when required. 💌Special Note💌 * Due to her voracious appetite, it is recommended that she be fed alone in a secluded area. * not so comfortable with new dogs, so it would be ideal to be adopted as the only pet. * As she is quite aged, her skin can be a bit oily. * Others: Microchipped, heartworm negative upon retest, surgery to hernia and lump done, dental scaling done and 8 teeth extracted. * Displays indications of aging including head mentis and spine malfunction, but no issues at all regarding day-to-day living.

These pups are in Los Angeles, California too!

American Eskimo Dog Spitz (Unknown Type, Small)

Male, 4 yrs 1 mo

Size

Details
Good with dogs, Good with cats,
Story
Name: 마음 (Maeum) Age: Estimated 3 years old Gender: Male Weight: 13 lbs Breed: Mixed breed Neutered: Neutered (recovered from heartworm) Vaccination: Completed 4th round Relationship with Adults: Maeum is a bit fearful of all adults, but he particularly loves female humans. He has experienced trauma from male humans, so he needs more time to build trust with them. He's been living in a foster home for 8 months, and he's still afraid of men, but with patience, he will likely adjust well. Relationship with Children: Maeum is scared of children as they have thrown stones at him in the past. However, he doesn't reject their touch and can get along with children in the same household. Relationship with Other Dogs: He is not very interested in other dogs and can be fearful of both large and small dogs. Sometimes he may show interest in bigger dogs if they have a similar body language, but caution is advised as he's still learning social skills. Relationship with Cats: Maeum is also scared of cats but doesn't pay much attention to them. He is a considerate and gentle dog, so he may get along well with cats once he's familiar with them. House Training: Initially, Maeum may do some marking until he fully adjusts, but currently, he has no bathroom accidents. He tends to lift his leg and urinate, so using longer pee pads against the wall is a good idea. Energy Level: He is extremely gentle and timid, not prone to accidents or mischief. He is quite fearful of loud noises and toys that make noise. Separation Anxiety/Barking: Maeum has some separation anxiety because he loves human interaction. He may show signs of it in the first few minutes but can wait quietly when left alone. He rarely barks, except when he's happy to see people. Affection and Petting: He loves being petted and cuddled. Walking: Maeum enjoys walks and walks calmly. He may be uncomfortable in unfamiliar places or around loud noises, especially when children are playing with balls nearby. Escape Possibility: Maeum doesn't try to leave the side of those he trusts (typically females). There's very little chance of him running away, but caution is advised when outside. Rescue Story: Maeum spent a long time as a stray dog, living in a large open space with other dogs. He endured harsh weather conditions, facing extreme cold in winter and scorching sun in summer. He had no shelter and had to deal with mosquito swarms every evening. Despite this, he greeted people who came to feed him, but some cruel individuals cut his leash and chased him away. A few days later, he was found at a shelter, rescued, and brought to safety. He's an incredibly sweet dog despite the hardships he's faced. Please note that Maeum's past experiences have left him with some fears and anxieties, so it's essential to provide him with a patient and loving environment to help him heal and adjust. Please apply at www.welcomepawsrescue.org. This pet is currently in Korea but can fly to Lax, JFK, DFW, Chicago, SFO, SeaTac, DC, Boston, ATL, Vancouver and Toronto upon the adoption.

***Courtesy post - contact Rachel  818-378-8995***  Lucy (11 yo American Eskimo) and Ricky (2 yo Cavelier King Charles/Terrier mix) were abandoned in a field together all alone before being picked up by animal control. They were then rescued but shortly thereafter the group who pulled them from the shelter closed their doors so they were abandoned once more. Ricky and Lucy have had a very rough life so far and just want to be in a forever home together. Ricky is spunky, sweet and has a sense of adventure. Lucy is blind and a bit fearful but once she knows she’s safe, she’ll be grateful with kisses. They have been waiting for their happily ever together. Both are fixed, UTD on shots and ready for a home to call their own!
