Story

We adopted Yoshi from another family in August 2024. They adopted her from a breeder in 2018 as a puppy but had to rehome her 6 years later because she started to display resource aggression, resulting in bites. We decided to take her in as my partner and I are a relatively calm and patient couple. She did show some resource aggression for her food and me (she had bitten us before), but we learned her triggers and can usually tell when to give her her space or put her in her crate. Otherwise, most of the time she is a very calm and loving dog who loves to hang out on the couch. The biggest reason why we decided we needed to rehome her is because she is terrified of going outside. We got her from a quiet suburban neighborhood and moved her to a busy major road and she hates being outside, even trying to resist going outside to use the bathroom. I truly don’t think that she can thrive being in a very busy neighborhood and would love for her to be in a quieter one, or one with a yard.

He and his siblings were sent to a high-kill city pound, where they faced an uncertain fate. Thankfully, HDS Rescue stepped in and brought them to safety at a private shelter. Ever since then, Philip has been waiting for his chance to experience the warmth of a loving home. He’s ready to thrive and can’t wait to meet his forever family! • Personality: Gentle, Calm, Friendly Philip is as easygoing as they come! He’s friendly with new faces, including men and children, and adapts quickly to new environments. He’s a sweet, social pup who will melt your heart. Calm and gentle, he’s not one to bark unnecessarily. • Affinity with - Dogs: Great with other dogs - Cats: Not tested with cats - Adults/Kids: Gentle and calm when saying hello to children on walks • Walking Manners: Philip is a leash pro—he’s gentle and follows his handler’s lead beautifully. • Separation Anxiety: None. • Housetrained: He’ll need some potty training, but with regular walks, he’s very likely to prefer doing his business outside. • Bathing/Brushing: Not tested but he would tolerate them well • Barks/Howls: No • Car Sickness: On his first car ride, he did great! Meet Bomi💕 Bomi was rescued from Korean city shelter along with her 7 babies. Her 7 puppies found their respective foster/forever homes and Bomi has been waiting for her family. * She has a lovable smile and soft cappuccino coat that makes her even more beautiful. 💕 * Separation anxiety : None * Potty training : Outdoor potty 100%. She always does her business at the same spot. * Energy Level (1~10): Lv. 1-2 * She is weary of strangers :( She is timid but she is happy to see people she knows and approaches with wagging tail.🥰 * She doesn’t bark when she sees other dogs. She slowly comes up to them. * She didn't bark and was quiet when she had guests at home. She didn't approach strangers just by observing them from afar, but she didn't bark. * She took a while to warm up to the other dogs at the foster home. * She is very timid girl. Needs some time to warm up with everything. * Please be patient with her. * Please move slowly and stay quiet as possible until she gets used to staying with you. * Successfully her nail! * She is a very curious girl. Let her explore the new world. * Currently she is practicing walkies. She is getting much better though. She gets scared of the manhole. Continuously needs leash training. * She is not a big fan of bathing, but she waits well until it's done. Pretty good at basic cleaning after walkies. She runs away when she sees the toothbrush but she accepts the situation as soon as it starts. * She prefers not to be held before. She is doing better and better. Meet Dana🖤 She was brought to Korean city shelter pregnant and gave birth to 8 puppies. They were rescued all together. While all of well-raised puppies found their forever families and left the Adogs Center, only Dana stayed to wait for her family. * With People: Tends to be shy at first, but opens up quickly if people approach her slowly. Once she feels comfortable, she becomes affectionate and enjoys asking people to pet her. Due to some past trauma, she is a bit afraid of adult men. * With Dogs: Gets along well with her dog friends without any issues, but she may growl with jealousy if another dog intervenes. She is currently undergoing training to manage her anger when a dog friend doesn’t respond to her invitation to play. * Potty Training: Has only outdoor potty breaks at the center. * Growls from time to time when she feels jealous of another dog friend or if the dog ignores her signal to play, so caution is necessary. * Is afraid to be trapped alone in the room, so she needs separation anxiety training from the start.

Meet Gowoon🧡 She gave birth to seven puppies at Korean city shelter and was rescued along with her puppies. While her puppies have all found forever homes, Gowoon still remains at the Center, waiting for her own family. • Interaction with People: Is still not accustomed to human touch. Allows gentle, cautious petting and can manage soft touches but reacts defensively if touched too suddenly. It is necessary to take time to touch her, to which she gets accustomed. • Interaction with Dogs: Gets along well with calm dogs with a similar demeanor and appreciates dogs that approach her gently. • Separation Anxiety: Enjoys her own time and becomes more active when she is alone. • Potty Training: Currently, only practices outdoor potty as she lives at the Center. • Hygiene: Is not yet comfortable bathing or brushing due to her unfamiliarity with human contact. • Walks: Is afraid of hands reaching for her to attach a leash, which has prevented her from going on walks. • Car Sickness: Travels well in a car without any signs of motion sickness. • Is frightened by loud noises and sudden movements. Slow, deliberate movements around her can help her feel more secure and comfortable.
