I was born without the piece of my brain that helps me balance (*cerebellar hypoplasia), so I wiggle all over the place. Basically I just love to dance funky all the time! I'm probably gonna be famous soon, so you should adopt me before the pup-parazzi finds me and the whole world wants in on this cuteness. And don't worry, I'm not going to get any worse--I just need you to love me as I am: crazy dancer but always happy to see you. Bonus? I'm already kennel & potty trained. Seraphine is a 4 year old, 31 pound Shiba Inu blend who joined us recently. She's a little shy in new situations and is looking for a family to give her a little bit of time to learn a new routine and a new environment. She knows basic commands such as sit, but she's also very food motivated and has selective hearing regarding commands if food is present. She enjoys chew toys and stuffed animals, but her favorite activity is water play! She enjoys playing with the hose, the splash pad and the kiddie pool. She is a very gentle lady when accepting a treat or reward. She is a very bright and inquisitive girl who is house and dog door trained. Her foster home has introduced her to car rides and leashes, and she's getting the hang of both! Seraphine gains confidence from other dogs, so she'll need a canine sibling, in her new home. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)!Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

Story
Tofu is a female Shiba Inu born 6/13/2021 who is looking for a new home. This is an extremely difficult decision for our family, but our daughter has developed severe allergies and we want to make sure Tofu can live somewhere she can receive the attention she deserves. She has completed all three levels of PetSmart training and graduated each class. She walks well on a leash and knows her basics. Like many Shibas she can be a little stubborn when putting on her harness, but once it is on she does great. Tofu has lived only with our family. She has socialized with other dogs and done well but has not lived with them full time. She is very sweet and independent but loves attention and will happily dance for butt scratches. She has never shown behavioral issues and has always been patient with children. A home with a very secure fence is required, as Shibas are known escape artists. Her rabies vaccine is due (about 3 months overdue due) Looking for home familiar with Shiba ownership.
