Story
Meet Caleb – A Loyal and Intelligent Companion * Gender: Male * Age: 2 years * Weight: 18 kg * Breed: Shiba mix Caleb’s story is one of resilience. He was abandoned in a park and brought to a shelter where he was placed on the euthanasia list before being rescued. Understandably, he feels a bit nervous in unfamiliar environments, likely due to the trauma of being confined at the shelter. When Caleb first arrived at a training facility, he showed signs of caution and guardedness. However, within just a couple of hours, he began to approach willingly and happily accepted treats, eventually allowing himself to be petted. Over time, his affectionate and playful personality emerged. Caleb knows basic commands like "sit" and "paw" and responds well to people, showing a lively and eager-to-please demeanor once he feels comfortable. Caleb gets along well with dogs of a similar size and enjoys playing with them. While occasional rough play can lead to minor disagreements, he responds immediately to verbal correction and stops the behavior. He also shows interest in smaller dogs and, with proper introductions, can coexist peacefully without any aggression. Caleb is a social dog who likes meeting new friends, greeting them with curiosity and sniffing before moving on. Highly intelligent and eager to learn, Caleb would thrive with an adopter who can provide proper training and guidance. He has the potential to become a well-mannered companion with consistent discipline and structure. He’s resource-friendly, sharing treats without guarding them, and gets along well with both humans and other dogs. On walks, Caleb follows his handler nicely without pulling, making him a joy to take out. While he shows no signs of aggression, he may do best as an only dog or in a household with another dog of a similar size for companionship. Caleb is ready to find his forever home where he can continue to flourish with love, patience, and structure. Could you be the one to give him the life he deserves? 🐾💕

Story
My Story: I was abandoned in front of the shelter with my five siblings, but now I’m ready to find my forever home where I can finally feel safe and loved. I might be a little shy at first, but with some time and patience, I’ll warm up and become your most loyal companion. 💖 About Me: 🌱 Shy but Sweet: I’m a bit timid when we first meet, but give me a little time, and I’ll become your best friend. I might not be too interested in snacks, but I’m definitely interested in getting to know you! 🍪 🐾 People-Focused: I rely a lot on people for comfort and security. Once I know you like me, I’ll follow you everywhere and shower you with affection. You’ll always have a loyal companion by your side! 🥰 🐕 Not Much of a Player: I’m not very interested in other dogs, but I feel more secure when they’re around. While I might not play with them, I do like having them nearby—it makes me feel safe. A home with other dogs could be a good fit for me! 🐾 🚶‍♂️ Outdoor Enthusiast: I enjoy outdoor activities and have a normal energy level. After some fun outside, I’m happy to rest quietly and relax with you. 🌳 🍽️ Easygoing Eater: I’m very laid-back when it comes to food—I don’t guard my meals, and I’m always polite during mealtime. 🥣 🔇 Quiet and Calm: I’m not much of a barker, and I’m calm when resting in a kennel. I prefer to keep things peaceful and quiet. 🛏️ 🚽 Potty Trained: I generally do my business outside, and I’m good about keeping things clean. I’m also likely to mark my territory when I’m in a new place, but I’m learning to adjust. 🏠 Why You’ll Love Me: I’m a gentle, loyal, and affectionate dog who’s looking for a patient and loving home. I might be shy at first, but once I trust you, I’ll be the most devoted companion you could ever ask for. I’m great with other dogs, even if I don’t play much, and I’ll always prioritize my human friends. If you’re looking for a quiet, loving friend who will follow you everywhere, I’m your perfect match! 🏡💕 Ready to give Sang a loving home? Story
🐾 Hey there, I’m Buddy! 🐾 I’m a 4-year-old Shiba Inu mix with a sleek black coat, weighing in at 10 kg. I was abandoned in front of a company but was rescued and now ready to find my forever home where I can show my love and loyalty! 💖 A Little About Me: 🍪 Shy but Sweet: I might be a bit shy at first, but give me a snack, and I’ll warm up quickly. Once I trust you, I’m all about belly rubs and showing off my playful side! 🥰 🐕 Best as an Only Dog: I prefer being the center of attention, so I’d do best in a home without other dogs. I’m not very interested in making dog friends, and I can be a bit protective of my toys and snacks. 🦴 🚶‍♂️ Active & Calm: I love outdoor activities and enjoy going on walks, though I might pull on the leash a little. After some time outside, I’m perfectly content to rest quietly at home. 🌳 🚗 Adventure-Ready: I’m comfortable with indoor pads and doing my business outside, so I’m well-trained for adventures and cozy days at home. 🏡 🐱 Curious but Obedient: When I see a cat, I’ll take a peek out of curiosity, but I’ll follow your lead and keep moving! 🐾 Why You’ll Love Me: I’m affectionate and loyal once I get to know you, and I’ll happily stick by your side as your one-and-only pup. I have a strong Shiba Inu personality, meaning I’m independent, but once I bond with you, I’ll show you all my love and devotion. Story
🐾 Hi there! I’m Nalla 🐶, a 10-month-old Shiba Inu princess with a heart full of love and a coat of the softest brown and white. I’m a petite girl, tipping the scales at just 5 kg. I’ve been fixed, so no puppies for me, just lots of playtime and cuddles!
🌼 My Story: I’m a bit of a wallflower, taking my sweet time to bloom. Strangers might find me a tad shy at first, but give me 3 days to a week with some yummy treats, and I’ll be your loyal friend for life. I have a special place in my heart for women, but I’m learning that men can be just as kind.
🐾 My Likes: I’m all about gentle belly rubs and quiet times indoors after a fun day outside. I’m polite with other pups, offering a friendly sniff, but I prefer the company of humans or dogs my size. Big dogs? They’re cool, but they make me a little nervous.
😺 Cats? Well, we haven’t met yet, so that’s a story for another day!
🍖 Mealtime: I’m not one to fuss over food. I’ll let you near my bowl, but I might give a little growl if a furry sibling tries to sneak a bite.
🚗 Car Rides: They’re still new to me, and I get a bit queasy, but I’m working on it. I’m a clean girl, though; if I have a little accident, I’ll tidy up after myself.
🏠 Home Life: I love my kennel; it’s my safe space. New places can be scary, but I’m brave with a buddy like Dale by my side. I’m getting ready for leash training soon, so I’ll be all set for adventures with you!
If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle soul to add to your family, I’m your girl. Let’s meet over some treats, and maybe, just maybe, we’ll find our forever together! 🐾💕
Interested in making me part of your life? Let’s chat! I promise, I’m worth the wait. 🐾🏡

Story
I’m Max, a delightful 4-year-old male Jindo Shiba Inu mix eagerly searching for my forever home. Background: I found myself in a City shelter around November 2020, wandering the streets. Thankfully, I was rescued just before being put down. Personality: I’m a people-loving pup with a heart as warm as a summer day. Meeting new faces is one of my favorite things, and I easily make friends with both humans and fellow furry pals. I’m ok with sharing my food with other dogs. I’m polite and greet unfamiliar dogs with a friendly wag and a sniff. Walks: While I might pull on the leash a bit (I’m just excited), I’m generally well-behaved during walks. I haven’t had much experience with strolls, so I might need some guidance initially. I have high energy though, after a good walk, I’m more than happy to curl up for a relaxing nap. Interactions: I’m not a barker and outdoor potty breaks are my preference, so a backyard or regular walks would suit me well. Training: Having spent most of my early years in a shelter, I’m ready for some home training adventures! Patient guidance and positive reinforcement will surely bring out the best in me. If you’re ready to add a splash of sweetness to your life, I’m the Mango for you! Reach out to the shelter and let them know you’re interested in making me a part of your family. Story
Jenny was rescued just in time from a kill shelter, and she’s ready to fill your life with love. From day one, she’s been the ultimate companion, eager to make new friends and share her gentle spirit. She adores people and welcomes strangers with open paws, letting them pet her and even carry her without a fuss. When it comes to other dogs, Jenny is polite and friendly. She enjoys the company of larger dogs and knows how to play nicely. However, if a dog shows aggression, she will stand her ground to protect herself and her loved ones. Jenny has a moderate energy level, making her the perfect blend of playful and calm. She loves outdoor walks and is a pro at leash walking, but she’s just as happy lounging indoors. This sweet girl is not a resource guarder with people, though she may growl if another dog gets too close for comfort. She rarely barks, making her a wonderfully gentle presence in any home. In the car, Jenny is a star—she does well in her crate and knows how to hop in and out with ease. She’s also potty trained and prefers to do her business outdoors. Jenny is looking for a loving family who can give her the attention she deserves and help her shine. If you’re ready to welcome a gentle, happy companion into your life, Jenny is the one for you!

Story
This beautiful redhead has the cutest ears! Lucia is approximately 1 and a half years old weighing 28 lbs. She is gregarious and friendly. Lucia and Sofia were left abandoned together near the SPCA PV sanctuary. We’d love to adopt them together, but we can’t hold them back from finding a home that loves them if that’s not possible. While at the shelter we can’t confirm if she’s house trained, but it seems she once had a home, so we think its likely that she is. Lucia is medium energy and lovely with people. She is good with dogs at the shelter, though barks if there is a barrier, which is not uncommon in shelter environments. Lucia was tested with cats, and at first was avoidant and then gently curious. She even let the cats hold her leash. Lucia is healthy, spayed and vaccinated. She is currently at the SPCA PV sanctuary in Mexico, and will be able to fly to Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton (possibly also Vancouver island). If you think you might be the lucky home for her, write us at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com and tell us a little about yourself, or go direct to our application: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw
