I would love to go home with a family who can help me burn off energy with exercise, playtime, and outdoor adventures.I can be nervous around new people. It just takes me a little while to get comfortable with new people. But once I get to know them, I'm very loving.I need to be the only pet. If you're interested in meeting me, please email adoptions@southwesthumane.org.My foster knows me better than anyone! Here's what they had to say about me during my time with them: Meet Ruby, a "paw-some" girl ready to be your best friend! One of the perks of adopting a foster dog is that we've had the chance to get to know Ruby and invest time in training her to be an ideal house guest. She's crate trained, potty trained, and knows commands like "sit," "shake," and "leave it." I tell her every day that she is a "good girl" and she wags her tail and gives me a look like, "Duh, I already know that!"Ruby's a total water lover-she's all about swimming, splashing, and having a jolly good time with her favorite dog soccer ball (aka the Jolly Ball). She's also obsessed with squeaky toys and plushies, so be prepared for some playtime fun.The way to Ruby's heart is giving her time to play. Whether it's swimming, digging, hiking, or just running around, Ruby is always looking for ways to decompress and recharge. Ruby loves her dog bed and is relaxed in the home.Ruby would thrive as the only dog in the home, as she can get overwhelmed by other pups. With a bit of patience, she'll warm up and become your loyal companion for life. Ready for a tail-wagging friend? Set up a meet and greet with Ruby-she's waiting for you! Primary Color: Blonde Secondary Color: White Weight: 46 Age: 1yrs 3mths 0wks
