Story
We adopted Portia from the Georgetown Animal Shelter in 2015 . She is a 10 year old Golden Shepherd, we were told that she was house trained, we learned that she was not. She's been through a full training class and knows her basic commands. We adopted our second dog not too long after that, about 4 months ago Portia attacked Orion for what seemed like no reason, at that point we separated them and a few weeks later when we tried to reintroduce them she attacked him again within 5 minutes. She's never been aggressive towards our other puppy or towards any people. She was diagnosed with severe Separation Anxiety just recently. We don't know what triggers her aggression towards our other dog but would like to see her in an active home with lots of love, attention and patience, where there's no other dogs or children until her triggers can be determined. She's a very sweet dog though, loves to give hugs and kisses and has a lot of life left in her, she LOVES to run and cuddle up to you.

Location: Austin, TX area and can drive to meet Name of pet: Ash Sex: Female Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier/pitty Age: 1 1/2 yr old Weight: 50lbs Spayed/Neutered: yes Good with other dogs: yes with proper introductions, she plays hard but has learned to leave lower energy dogs alone when corrected Good with kids: not sure Good with cats: yes Potty Trained: yes Kennel trained: yes Inside/outside pet: Ash is currently outside most of the day and inside in the evenings and at night Rehome fee: $50 Meet Ash! Ash is an absolute cuddle bug and thrives on attention. She is a clown and loves to play with people and other dogs. For these reasons, we feel Ash would be happier in a home with another dog of a similar energy level and/or someone who has more time to devote to her. We’re not in a hurry to rehome Ash and are happy to wait for the right home situation for her. She is neutered and up to date on rabies vaccine/heartworm/flea and tick meds.
