Meet Baby Huey. Yes, he's a big boy but his foster mom says he is a big baby! This sweet boy is great on a leash and loves his walks. He is the perfect house guest and does all of his potty business outside. He is starting to work on his crate training. Huey is such a happy boy and friendly with dogs and cats alike. 4 months old, Nutmeg, one of our "Spice Boys" is ready for his forever family! He is very sweet, playful and smart.  Living in a foster home working on house, crate and leash traing!  His ideal home will have an owner home more than not, another playful dog and a fenced yard.  To meet Nutmeg in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application.  * Adoption Fees: Puppies (12 months and under) - $325  Dogs (over 12 months) - $275  Qualifications for Adoption:  No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.  Must be home more than not. Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.  Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting. Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet. All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.  DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas. ##2205998##

This lucky little guy has "Just Arrived" .  He was found on the side of the road where he had been attacked by an animal.  He had 7 broken ribs and was bleeding.  However, he is in good hands now and mending very nicely. His mother and 3 siblings were found later and taken in by Good Shepherd Rescue. (You can read more about them on our Facebook page) Stay tune for updates during Toby's recovery.  He is already cute as a button and exploring outside under the watchful eye of his foster.
