Chloe is a 3-year-old, 50-lb German Shepherd with that classic shepherd loyalty and watchful nature. She’s lived both indoors and outdoors and could comfortably return to either lifestyle with the right home. Chloe gets along with most other dogs. She is currently attending training at the SPOT program in Springfield learning her manners and commands. True to her breed, she’s alert, devoted, and happiest when she has a person to look out for. If you’re looking for a smart, faithful companion ready to be your number-one gal, Chloe is waiting to clock in for duty.

Story
Hey there, I’m Douglas—but my friends call me Doug 🐾 A 1½-year-old German Shepherd with good looks and a loyal heart to match. I came to Heartland in search of my forever home, and I’m hoping it might be with you. I’ll be honest—I can be a little nervous when meeting new people at first. But give me a little time and patience, and I promise I’ll warm up into the affectionate, devoted companion I truly am. Once you’re in my circle, I love being around my people. I’m great with kids and enjoy spending time with the ones I love most. When it comes to other dogs, I can be a bit selective, so slow introductions are the way to go. And as for cats… let’s just say we’re not a good match. What I’m really looking for is someone who understands that the best friendships take a little time to build. In return, you’ll get a loyal, loving companion who will stand by your side through it all. If you think we could be the perfect match, give Heartland a call and set up a meet and greet. I’ll be waiting to meet you. 🐶💛
