Story
Everyone knows pittie mixes take longer to find their forever home. Let’s not make that the case with Duncan! Duncan spent 6 weeks at our local Animal Control before his fosters picked him to take home. His personality is still emerging but so far we know he loves playing with his rope, chewing on a bone, & playing fetch in the yard. You should see his little hops! Duncan is such a great boy inside the house too. He will curl up in a ball and sleep while his fosters eat dinner or do everyday activities. He is also used to being crated 8-5 while his fosters are at work. He’s housebroken! Though he’s not currently fostered with other dogs, he is dog friendly and loves a good game of chase. He could use some work with leash manners so a yard is a plus. He’s neutered, microchipped, UTD on vaccines & prevention. Interested in meeting this big boy? Fill out an application on our website.

Story
We adopted Neptune from a local pitbull rescue team. They rescued a pregnant mother and Neptune was one of the puppies from her litter. We chose a pitbull because of their incredible family-oriented nature. Neptune is so good with the kids - checks on them everytime they whine or cry, runs to them when called, lets the kids play on and around him. Around the age of 8 months, we realized we weren't meeting Neptune's needs. Neptune is energetic and all our energy is put into full time jobs and the small children. He needs daily activity like walks (he can even jog next to your bicycle!), tug or fetch time. Neptune's one challenge is his protective nature. He snaps at other dogs when introduced or passing by during a leashed walk. A good trainer could overcome this. In the meantime, I do not recommend he go to a home with other animals right away. Neptune is microchipped, vaccinated, house trained, crate trained (his crate is his sanctuary), and he knows Sit, Stay, Wait, and Come.
