Delightful ray of sunshine, tiny and fun-sized, friend to all.Would you look at this fun-sized little peanut! We can't get over how amazing this dog is, nor how tiny he is for a blocky-headed dog. Absolute squee, he's the very bestest and we're all so smitten. Gerbil is right around a year old and a mere 30lbs, he's got a sweet and easy going demeanor with a little bit of puppy silliness with his dog buddies. He goes to daycare daily with his foster and has so many dog friends, he's thoroughly unfazed by nonsense and adjusts his play style to whoever he's hanging out with. He's gone to a couple of events at breweries and he gets an A+ for brewery dog skills, he just hangs out and makes friends with everyone he meets. Gerbil would love to find an adopter with dog friends, but he could do the single life as long as he gets to go see some dog buddies from time to time. We think he'd get along with a cat, but he may expect kitty to play rowdy with him so you decide if your cat wants to put up with young dog shenanigans. Kids? Oh heckins yes, but he is a small guy, so well-behaved kids who will be mindful where he is would be best. This guy is a star everywhere he goes and we'd love to match him with someone who knows how to treat their dog like he hung the moon. Is that you? Visit southofthebully.com and apply to adopt Gerbil. Our adoption fee is $300. This covers spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, all age appropriate vaccines, and any needed vet care. Once your application has been submitted, our Adoptions Team will be in contact shortly to set up a phone interview and a home visit. Are you looking for a dog who will gaze lovingly at you no matter how many days it's been since you've had a shower? Would you love a dog who listens with the most adoring stare no matter how hideous your singing is? Do you need a cartoon-y little pot roast of a dog who thinks you hung the moon no matter how bad your day has gone? Wanna spend your days with a dog who's a little bit shy, a little bit awkward and kind of a homebody? Fam, we got you! This is Dumpling, he's a kind and lovely soul with the sweetest smile and the best antenna ears. He's around 3 years old and 45 lbs, he's not seen a whole lot of the world, but he's having a really nice time with his foster going on adventure walks. Dumpling is the kind of guy who prefers quiet walks in the woods to rowdy dog bars or brewery trivia nights. He can fake it well enough, but really, he's the guy who brings a book to a party and likes to hang on the edges of chaos. He's just not a crowd kinda guy and we totally get that! That's not to say Dumpling isn't social, he loves his people and he gets along beautifully with his two foster sister dogs at home, he's just a humble guy who doesn't want to be the center of attention.  Dumpling is looking for a family who leans more towards the quiet life. He likes neighborhood walks and trips to Lowe's, he's housebroken, crate trained and non-destructive in the home, mostly he wants to follow you around and be with you. Kinda perfect, really. He's lovely with kids, though he does prefer them to be more on the easy going side, as one would expect. Dumpling is just a good little dude looking for a compatible family to call his own. Does this sweet, endearing, slightly awkward little guy speak to your soul? We'd love to set you two up for a happily ever after, head over to southofthebully.com and fill out an application today. Our adoption fee is $300. This covers spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, all age appropriate vaccines, and any needed vet care. November 15, 2024, 6:10 pm

Story
To begin the adoption process, please fill out the SOTB Adoption Application completely. Once your application has been submitted, our Adoptions Team will be in contact shortly to set up a phone interview and a home visit. We've been coming across some really nice dogs in the area shelters lately, Ivy is one of those gems. She's 10ish months old right around Thanksgiving, she's about 30lbs, easy-going nature and just an all around delightful gal. Ivy gets along well with other dogs, she's housebroken and crate trained, she's laid back and has lovely house manners, and makes friends wherever she goes. As for what breed she is, it's anyone's guess. She has that German Shepherd mix coloration, but she's got a much shorter coat and is really quite small. Her face look like some sort of small breed mix, maybe pug and beagle had some say in her pedigree. We're going to guess a solid half dozen or more breeds are in there, and every last one of them contributed nothing bug good dog energy to this lovely soul. If you're looking for a safe, social, tolerant and easy kiddo that'd be a perfect first dog, Ivy's your gal. She's going to go unnoticed with her Plain Jane appearance, so do us a favor and show your friends and family who are dog shopping, she's going to check all the boxes for a lot of peoples' wishlist.
