Hello! They call me Queen, but I`m really not as bossy as my name indicates. I`m an adorable (almost) 4 year old pittie type, weighing in around 55 pounds. Yes, I’ve been at the shelter before. Someone adopted me, but they ended up having a heart condition and couldn’t take care of me anymore. Bummer! I learned a lot in that home though, so I’m hopeful it will help find me a new home soon! Other dogs can make me feel nervous and I don`t really want them near me, so I’d be happiest being your one-and-only. In the past year, I did make a couple of dog friends, with a lot of coaching. I did go to a home with a cat before and it was really fun to chase, but the human and cat didn`t appreciate that, so I’m thinking maybe I shouldn’t live with a cat. For the most part, I am equally happy to go for walks, play and sniff outside, or snuggle up to you! If you like to play, I`ll grab a toy and make silly noises while we play `keep away` or `tug`. If you`re not into games, that`s ok too, I`m pretty happy just sniffing around or sitting next to you in the sun. Honestly, I`m a pretty chill dog once you get to know me and I feel safe. I`m thinking that if I can get a little consistency in my life, I`ll be quite the happy family member! If you`ve always dreamed of rescuing a dog and you`re willing to learn alongside me, head to the shelter during open hours for the chance to meet me! Hi there, they call me Silly Goose, and I think that`s pretty fitting! I was found tied to a tree with two other dogs. I am now the longest standing dog at the shelter, but I don`t get why! I love to sit in laps, play, both independantly or with friends and go for walks. Ok, some people say I`m a little too strong for them on leash. I guess I could see where that would be hard for some people. Maybe you have really strong arms or a fenced yard to help out with that? I can be a little bossy with other dogs but I do ok with some if the humans know how to help us get to know each other. To be honest, I think I am enough to keep anyone happy, even without another dog. If you ask me, I would make a pretty good new family member; if you don`t mind a 52 pound dog trying to climb in your lap! Stop by the shelter during open hours if you`d like to meet me, Silly Goose!
