Doug is in the house!This big, handsome boy is Doug. He came to PCHS when he was found as a stray and no one claim to claim him. While we do not know a lot about his back ground, we do know that he is super friendly, loves people, and has an exceptional enthusiasm for life! Doug is estimated to be a pitty/lab mix and roughly 2 years old. He does know some very basic commands such as sit, he will need some practice with his leash manners. He is a very strong boy and using a harness to walk him would be recommended. Doug is a smart boy and would likely learn more commands with some time and consistency. He would love a fenced in yard where he can run around and burn off some energy, however, we are not requiring it. Doug has not been dog or cat tested at this time. He may be too much for feline friends, but with proper introductions he may do okay with a canine companion. Meet Claire, a sweet young girl who came to us from a valued rescue partner. Claire found herself out on her own at a South Dakota reservation. When the big dogs started to pick on her, the rescuers decided it was time to scoop her up. Claire is estimated to be about a year old. She definitely still has some puppy behaviors and is learning to walk on a leash. Claire is so affectionate and loves being around people and does well with other dogs. We think she would fit into just about any family. Maybe yours?Adoption fee $350 + $30 microchip fee + tax

Meet Lucy and Ricky! (They need to be adopted together)This adorable bonded pair has been with each other through thick and thin. They originally came to PCHS back in 2021 and were here for a few months and were adopted. After 4 and half years they found their way back to us through no fault of their own. Their family was moving to an assisted living program and could not take the dogs with. Understandably, they are a bit unsure being back in shelter but they are adjusting quickly. We are hoping their stay with us can be short. They enjoy going out for walks, getting attention and chilling on a nice comfy dog bed. They have lived with cats and have done well with them. Not only are they cat friendly, but they are used to be around kids from ages 2-12 years. These two would make a great addition to almost any household. *Ricky does have an old injury to his hip/tail so he walks with a bit of a `hitch` in his step but it does not seem to cause pain. He has had this since he was under a year old and has been doing well, he just walks a little `funny`.If this bonded pair sounds like a good match for you, apply online today!Adoption fee for the pair is $300 + $30 microchip fee (each) + tax
