Story
Hi there! I'm Jagger!Woof! I'm a 5-and-a-half-month-old ball of snuggles! My shelter pals say I’m a shepherd mix, but I think I’m a super-cool terrier mix (at least that’s what my humans guess, since I’m on the smaller side at just 30 pounds currently). Oh, and I might be blind, but that doesn’t slow me down when it comes to sniffing out all the fun things in life! Here’s the scoop: I love to explore, so a fenced yard is a must—safety first, right? I’m still working on the whole “going down steps” thing (I’ve totally mastered going up, though!). So, I’d really love a home without stairs if possible, just to keep things easy-peasy for me.I get along great with other dogs, but guess what? People are my absolute favorite! I’m a champion snuggler. I’d prefer a home with older kids because, well, I might accidentally bump into them with my limited vision. I haven’t met any cats yet, but with a little patience and proper introductions, I bet we could be good buddies!Oh, and I’m neutered, current on vaccines, and working on my potty training skills! My crate and playpen are like my little safe spaces, and I do really well in them.   If you're looking for a lovable, brave little adventurer, I’m your guy! I’m fully-vetted, microchipped and my adoption fee is $350.  I’m waiting for the perfect family to find me. Could that be you? Questions? Email projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Ready to bring me home? Fill out the adoption application by visiting our website at www.projecthoperescue.org.  I can’t wait to meet you!November 2, 2024, 10:53 pm

Story
Hey there, I’m Zero! My foster family gave me that name because they say I remind them of the dog from The Nightmare Before Christmas. I was found wandering the streets of Louisiana and found myself scared and alone at a high-kill shelter. Luckily, Project Hope rescued me. I’ve made my way north and now I’m ready to find my forever family!I’m about 2 years old, weigh 45 pounds, and have short, fluffy black fur with some bronze mixed in. People say my deep brown eyes are pretty hard to resist. I’m probably a mix of a bully breed, Shar-Pei and Lab, but all I know is I’m 100% lovable and loyal. I live with my foster family in Saginaw, Michigan, and boy, is it a full house! There’s my foster mom, five human kids, two dog siblings (one’s a Great Dane, so she’s huge!), a cat and even a rabbit. I get along great with the other dogs, and I’m trying really hard to get used to the cat and the rabbit too. I also love every human I meet—big, small, young, old—I’m friends with everyone! When I’m not running zoomies in the backyard with the other dogs, I’m working on my training. I’ve already mastered “sit,” “here,” and “down,” and I’m learning more commands like “leave it” and “off.” My foster mom says I’m a quick learner, and with a little time and patience, I can do just about anything. Also, I’ll need a fully FENCED-IN YARD so I can run and play until my heart’s content! I love chewing on toys, especially horns, antlers, and stuffies, and I take treats gently. I sleep all night in my bed in my foster mom’s room without any accidents. I’m not a fan of getting on the furniture—no couches or human beds for me, thanks! I just like to be near you, whether it’s at your feet or next to your chair. I’m working on crate training, too. It’s not my favorite, but I’m getting better since I know my foster mom always comes back for me. Car rides make me a little nervous, but I’m improving there as well—I prefer hanging out in the back seat.   I’m a sweet, goofy and devoted pup who just wants to follow my people from room to room and be with them always. Could you be the one I’ve been waiting for? My adoption fee is $300, and I’m fully-vetted and microchipped. Questions about me? Email projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Story
Meet Kora, a 3 year-old Pitbull mix weighing in at 48 pounds. Kora’s story is one of resilience and pure love. When she was found as a stray, her severe allergies had left her without fur, her skin rough and crusted over. But thanks to her foster family and RPSM, Kora is slowly regaining her coat and her health, one step at a time. Despite everything she’s been through, Kora is a sweet, loving soul who adores people and gets along well with children and other dogs. She hasn’t been tested with cats. Kora is both house and crate trained, making her a well-behaved companion. Due to her allergies, she may need ongoing care such as medicated baths, allergy medicine, or a special diet—but that’s a small price to pay for the love and cuddles she has to offer. Kora’s journey to recovery may not be over, but her heart is already full and ready to share with her future family. Could that be you?  Submit your application today! Kora is spayed and UTD on all my vaccines, HW, FT, and has a microchip of her own. RPSM recommends children 6 years and older. Kora will require a fenced-in yard, either physical or underground. If you are interested in adopting Kora, please go to www.rpsm.org to fill out an application.  ##2163185##
