Story
You may recognize this good girl. Diamond is back with us at MHS now and she is hoping to find a family who is a perfect fit for her. Yes, she was returned to us, but that is not necessarily all bad! We now know new information that will help us set her up for success in her next home! Diamond is the perfect companion. She is loyal, loving, affectionate, and is very tuned-in when she is with you. She's an easy-going, lazy, couch potato and is content with a life of leisure! Don't get us wrong, Diamond loves daily walkies, but for the most part she is quite chill. Diamond's ideal home would be one with a quiet environment. We are basically calling all introverts! Lots of visitors and running around and commotion is not her pace and we totally understand that! So, if you are someone who has a low-key lifestyle and likes to snuggle close to their dog, you may want to come and meet Diamond. She asks for a slow introduction to new people but once she feels safe with you, she is all in. The way that she trusts our staff and volunteers is incredible. She just needs time to learn that new people are just new friends. After she is over that hump, she likes to sit right next to you and ask for belly rubs once she knows you. She's done best interacting with equally playful and friendly male dogs. Diamond is so people-oriented that she'd also be content to have it be just her. She does ask for no kitty friends. Since a quiet home setting would be best for Diamond, we think teenagers and older is a great option! Diamond is about six and a half years old and is spayed. We hope you see all the love Diamond has to offer. Please come meet her!

Story
"Adoptable Flower's typical day is eating breakfast before I go to work, going out for a short walk/potty-break, then I assume she sleeps in my bed while I am gone! When I get home from work, she is waiting for me at the front door wiggling her little body all over the place. She usually has her squeaky pig in her mouth. We go out for a walk around the yard, then it's time for dinner. She goes out a couple more times before bedtime. I think she would absolutely love to be adopted by a family with a fenced-in yard so she can run around whenever she wants and however fast she wants...unless she is adopted by someone who likes to go for walks and maybe run a little bit, lol. She really is a sweet girl. She likes to be with people. Wants to sit on your lap, but also will just chill on the floor with her toys, too. She definitely likes toys. She is great with my grandkids (about four years and older). She waits for you to tell her it's okay to eat, plus she eats any pills without spitting them out." -Flower's foster mom. Flower welcomes visitors with open paws and has absolutely wonderful manners. She is long overdue and is very deserving of a family to call her own. She asks to be the only furbaby and is waiting patiently to be chosen. She is about five years old and is spayed.

Story
Time with Pookie is the best way we can think of to spend our time. She has done amazing meeting respectful kiddos! She's also gone on several field trips, and she gets the same review every time: "She LOVES to snuggle!" If you are someone who finds snuggling with your dog relaxing and therapeutic, please come meet Pookie. Or if your kiddos need a loyal best friend, come meet Pookie! She will hop upon your lap if invited but is also quite respectful. She loves to chase tennis balls and play fetch. She'll always choose interacting with people over playing. She's done quite well with submissive, friendly shelter dogs! Pookie would ask for a slow introduction to dog-savvy resident kitties. She is about two years old and is spayed and is the ultimate sweetheart.
