Story
Weight: 42 lbs Breed: 50% American pit bull terrier, 25% Catahoula leopard dog, 25% other mix Nova is up to date on all vaccines & healthy! Nova needs an owner who has experience with dogs or the resources to provide her with thorough training. She is wonderful at home - she is loyal, cuddly (like Velcro), loving, and incredibly smart. She literally does not leave my side!! Very treat/food motivated. Knows sit, shake, down, place, waits for her release word before meals, working on heel. She is a wonderful protector and has a ton of energy. Good for active owners. As part Catahoula, she can be stubborn and has herding tendencies, although she’s wonderful with my roommates cat and dog after they got used to each other. She loves an enrichment toy, a kong, and sometimes a stuffed animal or ball! She’s such a special girl and I hope she will find the right home. Story
Bacardi was adopted from the SPCA about a year ago. They thought she was probably 12 to 18 months old at that time. The most important thing to know about her is that she is a good girl, potty trained quickly, can sit and shake, loves people in general but kids most especially. Cardi loves other dogs, tends to be submissive but will play until she drops. She really needs a fenced yard to run out her zoomies and also enjoys walks. She is not loud, almost never barks (only when wound up and playing or if she is feeling protective of her kids). She also thinks she is a lap dog, very affectionate and would do well with other dogs, not sure on cats. As pit bulls go, she is small (about 40 lbs.) and spring loaded, could be some boxer in there. I really hope the right person sees this and falls in love with her, no adoption fee necessary, just a loving home with a fenced yard.
