Story
Hello! My name is Talladega and I am an incredibly sweet, friendly and gentle pittie mix who has so much love to give. I am a low-medium energy boy who enjoys going on walks, playing with toys and getting my belly rubbed. I recently had the chance to take a shelter vacation and learned all about living in an apartment. I mastered riding the elevator quickly and interacted with new people in the hallways with a wagging tail. I passed by other dogs on walks without any issues as well. My friends at the shelter say I do well with big and small dogs. I also slept all night in my crate without accidents or protest and didn’t chew on things I wasn’t supposed to. I am told I have the cutest ears and forehead wrinkles too. I have currently lived at the shelter for more than 300+ days and I am ready to move into my forever home and keep learning more about how to live my best doggie life. Could it be with you?!

Story
Meet Crosby Egyptian, the sweetest and most self-sufficient pup ever! Crosby is a 7.5 years old pitbull/cattle dog mix. She came to the shelter with her daughter and granddaughter, who were both adopted already. We think she had lived in a house before - she came to us already housebroken, and she knows house rules (no counter surfing, no begging human food, sitting down for treats, does not climb on people without permission, etc.). Crosby also loves sofa and dog beds, and is not destructive at all. Her favorite pass time is to nibble on her chewies in dog beds, then fall asleep. She can be left free-roam in the house when people are away. Crosby is a happy girl and very sweet to people. She has the classic pitbull personality - eyes always on her humans and always stays by their side. She loves hugs, kisses, belly rubs, ear scratches, and really any attention you can give her. She waits next to us with her tug toy in her mouth, in case we want to play. She is living peacefully with another 70 lb foster brother. They respect each other's space and sniff each other a lot. Crosby is crate trained. She would much rather sleep on the sofa but when put in the crate, she does not complain and just falls asleep. Crosby does not bark; we think it is too tiring for her. She walks on leash, but not too fast either. Her energy is really reserved for hoarding the stinkiest chewies and collecting the softest stuffies. She mastered the doggy door in one day so she can nap wherever the most comfortable. Crosby got her priorities straight. We have owned and fostered over twenty dogs and have not met any dog this easy to care for. Crosby also shows her affection and appreciation a lot, which makes caring her a very rewarding experience. Crosby will make a GREAT starter dog for any first-time dog owner, even if you live in an apartment or a house without a fenced yard. Crosby holds her potty very well inside, and does her business immediately when let out. She also does not wander off - the fleece blanket on the sofa is her ultimate goal. She is smart and very eager to please. She will also do great with senior adopters or with a busy family that does not have much time walking her or going to dog parks.Apply for Crosby Egyptian and you get a sweet pitbull personality with two tiny soft ears and a wagging tail that is strong enough to create some breeze. As Crosby's foster parents, we could not recommend her enough. Please visit instagram @terrificbroth for more of Crosby's photos and videos. Please apply and meet this bundle of joy if you plan to add an adult, calm dog to your family, or help us to spread the word about sweet Crosby!
