Story
German Shepherd mix, male puppyMeet Ryatt, a stray from Tranquility, CA.  He was dumped about a month ago and finally brought in by one of CCHDR’s star fosters.   Ryatt was goofy and friendly, even when on his own, but that certainly wasn’t a safe solution.  Now he’s getting lots of love, structure, and training. Ryatt is a 6 month old, 60lb and growing German Shepherd mix. He already knows sit, lay down, and here. He’s working on stay, wait (for food), okay (release command), and shake. He’s also doing great with crate training and is very food motivated.   He is also cat friendly!  Great with other dogs, just a lot of puppy enthusiasm.   Ryatt is located in Tranquillity, CA near Fresno. Foster is willing to drive a few hours in any direction for the perfect home. He will be microchipped, UTD on vaccines, and can go home on a neuter contract.   More photos and updates:  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1344218809873103&type=3   Interested in Ryatt?  Please complete an application at: http://bit.ly/CCHDR_AppJanuary 12, 2025, 7:12 pm

Story
Mixed breed puppy, femaleNova is the only female in this litter of 5 valley special pups, with siblings: Apollo (m), Cosmo (m), Atlas (m), and Bear (m). These 10 week old babies (as of 1/14/25) were found in an orchard near Fresno. No mom, no dad in sight…just 5 happy and healthy pups. We’re calling them a “valley special” because we truly have no idea of their breed makeup. Some are fluffy, some are curly, the color and coat patterns are that of the rainbow. We have no idea how big they’ll be at maturity. Lots of unknowns, so if you’re the kind of person that likes a surprise, come on down for one. Nova crushed her first off leash hike. Stayed very close to her humans and then got brave enough to venture out with the big pups. Without hesitation she dipped her toes in the creek. She is very sweet, mild mannered, and adorably fluffy. She even has a detectable brindle pattern woven through all that fluff, it’s very beautiful and very unique.   Nova is microchipped, on a vaccine schedule, and can go home on a spay contract.   Nova is located in Arroyo Grande.   More photos and updates:  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1345398709755113&type=3   Interested in Nova?   Please complete an application at: http://bit.ly/CCHDR_App  January 21, 2025, 5:56 pm
