Story
Sweet Keisha is looking for a home. She is 40 lb shepherd x lab with a kind and brave soul, who just melts into the arms of those kind enough to give her affection. Keisha was found in Puerto Vallarta, skinny and hungry, trying to care for and protect her litter of 6 puppies. She had dug a small hole to hide them as she stood over them, chained up, until thankfully the angels of the SPCA PV came to rescue them. After her rescue, they learned that Keisha was also blind, they believe from poisoning. Keisha's pups all inherited her kind soul and affection for humans. And we hope that Keisha herself will find her own happiness. Naturally because she can't see, she enjoys sniffari walks, to take in the world around her, and would love a safe property to explore her world in between cuddles with a family that this time would love her. If you think you may be able to give Keisha a home, we'd love to hear from you at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com. You can also go directly to our application here: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw

Story
Lou is an adorable 8-month-old Pit Bull Terrier mix puppy with an endless supply of energy! This affectionate boy is happiest when he's around people, is really snuggly and loving but is still learning how to be appropriate with his affection. Lou has a playful spirit and will need plenty of enrichment to keep his clever mind engaged. He will be a great match for someone who can provide him with activities like Kongs/puzzle toys in between long-leash walks to help him burn off energy while exploring his surroundings.Training is a positive experience for Lou thanks to his food motivation and he's doing really well learning various cues like "sit" and showing great potential, though he'll need a bit more guidance in managing his excitement-especially when it comes to jumping up to say hello. Lou also needs some training with leash walking, as he sometimes pulls and jumps up when something catches his eye, however with consistent training his enthusiastic personality can be channeled into being the best buddy on walks and adventures. While Lou would like to be the only animal in the home, he would love to have doggy friends that he can meet up with to zoom around and get his beans out! If you're ready for a loyal, lively companion who will keep you laughing, brighten your days, and keep you busy, Lou could be the perfect addition to your family!
