Story
Reuben is a happy, wiggly and friendly dude. He is beginning to struggle in the shelter because he needs more mental stimulation to support his growing body and brain! Reuben is about 7 months old and would benefit from additional training. Potential adopters should know that he is still learning! Reuben will thrive best in a home that is able to provide him with a positive outlet for his energy. He can be rambunctious at times but we anticipate him being much happier with daily walks, regular play time, lots of love etc. Reuben loves to go on walks and sniff everything around him. His favorite types of toys are stuffies and big rubber balls! Recently we noticed Reuben guarding his toys while he was playing with them. Since we have only seen this behavior once we are unsure if he will continue to guard toys with people. Reuben will need positive reinforcement to help curb this behavior shall it be seen again. Reuben has played well with other dogs and may enjoy a friend in his new home. A tolerable friend that matches his energy may be the best fit as he is an active player! Reuben has learned a lot during his time in the shelter and is eager to please. He is treat motivated and excited to learn more. Reuben knows the cue “sit” and has been working on “down”. He improved with his leash walking but can be overly excited at times and jump up! When he does this we tell him “down” and in some cases ask him to “sit” for a treat to help his attention focus back onto walking! Reuben has been out on a couple Miles for Mutts adventures and has done great. He has been good on car rides and loves to see everything out in the real world! Reuben has such a bubbly personality and is always on the move. He has yet to meet someone he does not like. Reuben did arrive to the shelter as a stray so we do not know if he has lived with children. Overall, he has done well with the children he has met but we encourage adopters to bring their children with them when they come to meet Reuben. He may be too much energy for some small children. Reuben is a good boy. It can be hard growing up in the shelter. We want nothing more than to see Reuben thrive in a loving home. If you feel that your home would be a good fit for Reuben we would love for you to come by and meet him!

Story
Daisy is such a gentle and sweet girl. She arrived to the shelter as a stray. When she arrived, she was a little shy and was in need of a nail trim! Her nails were so long that it made her nervous of hard flooring. After her nail trimming it was so sweet to see her walk on the hard floor for the first time! Daisy may be a little shy when first meeting, but she is full of love. She appears to be a people pleaser and just lovesss to be praised! We do not know if Daisy has lived with other animals. During her time in the shelter, she has not been bothered by the other dogs in the shelter and has a friendly demeanor when seeing them. She may enjoy a friend in her new home, and we can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed! Daisy does appear to be mostly potty trained but please keep in mind that she will need time to learn her new homes routine. Daisy knows the cue “sit” and now that she’s more comfortable, she walks well on a leash! She may need extra encouragement from time to time. We imagine Daisy embracing all the fun things the great outdoors has to offer but can’t see her shying away from snuggles and cuddles either! Daisy is a ball dog and loves a good game of fetch. She is so polite with playing and will drop the ball directly into your hand!
