Story
Meet Cornbread! The sweet young lady is about 11 months old! She is a standard poodle and didn't have the best start to life, but we're about to change that. She came in with the other 11 poodles that were neglected. She will need groomed and brushed on a regular basis. Cornbread tested well with dogs and cats. She's a little timid, but honestly they all are. She is going to need love and patience to realize what fun it is being a dog! Kids should be old enough to respect her comfort levels, so maybe 6 and older. PA Kennel License #1333

Story
Meet Chewbacca; Chewie for short. Chewbacca is a standard poodle. He was definitely the worst of all the poodles, condition wise, when he arrived. After grooming, we noticed severely infected and open wounds on his hind area, as well as both eyes/ears were infected. We are happy to say he is feeling much better and ready for a new home! Chewie is about 4. He will need time and patience to learn the ropes of being a dog. He tested well with dogs and cats. We prefer children to be a tad older (maybe 6?) just to ensure he feels comfortable. Sudden movements and loud noises could frighten him. Please remember he was severely neglected at arrival and will need regularly groomed and brushed, which is an added expense with the breed. Applications are available at the shelter or on our website! PA Kennel #1333

Story
This beauty is Sharon! Sharon is about 4 and has definitely had a traumatic life prior to CPHS. She's the most timid of all the poodles that arrived. She needs someone who just wants to help her learn to trust and that human interaction is ok! She will take time to warm up and solicit attention, but once you get to that point, having her in your life will make it all worth it. Sharon is a standard poodle. She is good with calm dogs and cats. Kids should be over the age of 12 due to her being shutdown. She will need groomed regularly with her curly coat! PA Kennel License #1333
