Story
Introducing Rover, a lovable 2-year-old golden doodle who's just joined our rescue! This easy-going pup thrives on human connection and is happiest when lounging in the backyard or relaxing at your side. Rover enjoys his daily walks, especially with the help of a halti, and is a social butterfly in the neighborhood, eager to meet both dogs and people. He gets along well with dogs of all sizes, but his playful energy means he'd do best with dog friends who can keep up. We’re still uncertain about his behavior around cats. The good news is that he’s fully potty trained! Rover’s life has been full of changes, which explains why he can be a bit shy around new people. However, he quickly warms up once he’s comfortable, especially if you offer him a treat! He’s enthusiastic when meeting dogs on walks and is eager to make friends, though he’s still learning to trust people. With his sweet, affectionate nature, Rover would be a perfect match for a family with older kids (10+). He’d also make a great companion for a playful dog, or he could be an only dog with regular playdates to keep him socialized. As an active dog, Rover needs plenty of exercise and would thrive in a home that loves outdoor activities like hiking. A tired Rover is a happy Rover! Though he's a poodle mix, Rover does shed, so he wouldn’t be a fit for a home with allergies. Rover has recently been neutered and is recovering well. He’s currently being fostered in Keswick and is ready to find his forever family! ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! An application for me can be found at www.justpaws.ca. Just Paws is located in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. We do not adopt out of province or country. Please note that although many of our dogs get along with children, we are not able to adopt to any household with kids under the age of 8 years old. This is a stipulation of our insurance and is not a reflection on suitability of the potential adopter.
