Story
Louise is a 7 year old Standard Poodle mix (born 2017) who is bonded to her best friend Brandi, so the two of them will need to be adopted together.  Louise has lots of energy and enjoys being outside in a fenced yard.    She thinks she is still a pup and becomes jealous when her friend Brandi is being petted.  Louise will let you pet her for hours if you're willing!   She is housebroken, friendly with older children, and knows some commands, but will tend to get into trouble if left alone in the house.    Neither one will do well with cats and we're not sure how they'll do with other dogs.  If you enjoy being with large dogs and love going for walks, Louise would be so happy to become part of your family!       The suggested adoption donation for both Brandi and Louise is $675, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees.   Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we only assist the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption.   Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.   To learn about Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc.  ##2248260##

Story
Brandi is an 8 year old Standard Poodle mix (born 2016) who is bonded to her best friend Louise, so the two of them will need to be adopted together.   Brandi is very active and will need to have a fenced yard.  She'll let everyone know how happy she is when she's playing outside!   Brandi will sometimes appear to be stressed, but long walks and lots of exercise helps reduce the nervousness.  She is housebroken, friendly with older children, knows some commands, but will tend to get into trouble if left alone in the house.  Neither one will do well with cats and we're not sure how they'll do with other dogs.  If you enjoy being with large dogs and love going for walks, Brandi would be so happy to become part of your family!       The suggested adoption donation for both Brandi and Louise is $675, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Story
Welcome to rescue, Mila!  Mila is a Poodle/Lab mix, born August 16, 2024.  She is adjusting to her new surroundings and recovering with lots of TLC.  Once she is fully recovered, she will be ready for her next chapter!  We'll share updates and more information about Mila as we learn more about her! Please Note:  Mila came to rescue Parvo+ and won’t be able to go to her furever home until released from her vet as she will be “shedding” parvo until then.  We encourage you to apply to adopt Mila so we can start the process now! The suggested adoption donation for Mila is $500, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
