Story
Meet Tempest! He is a handsome Poodle mix who weighs around 65 lbs. He came to us as a stray who had severe matting all over, and was so scared of everything. After a few weeks of TLC, Tempest is looking and feeling great! We are guessing he is around 3 years old, but it is hard to say for sure. What we do know, is that he is a sweet and active boy who needs a home with no small children, ideally a yard to play in or someone committed to exercising him appropriately. He needs someone willing to keep up with his grooming needs as Poodle mixes need to be groomed every 6-8 weeks typically and require at home maintenance between groom appointments. He will need training to help curb some puppy-like behavior, like jumping and mouthing out of playfulness. So far Tempest seems to do well with dogs here, but may chase cats/small critters. He does keep his kennel pretty clean so may be housetrained. Tempest has been cleared medically, besides a Grade 2 heart murmur that we believe is due to his heartworm positive status. He has no issues with exercise or any cardiac symptoms at this time and has begun treatment. He was neutered without issue. His adoption fee is $75 and includes his neuter, microchip, vaccinations and heartworm test.
