Story
Adorably, fluffy and fun loving Griffin was adopted from a shelter in Arkansas. He had a long history of LOVING the Scooby Snacks a little too much and found himself needing to make some new years resolutions. Over the last year he was able to drop 19lbs! Griffin does well with dogs his size and smaller. He’s had incidences of being fearful and reactive dogs larger than him.. Griffin is housebroken and can be trusted to have free roam of the home. He would do best in a home with older respectable kiddos. He is very friendly and above all, wants nothing more than to be your best buddy! He has been neutered, is brought current on vaccinations, he is heartworm negative and microchipped. All he needs now is a forever home to call his own. If you are interested in meeting Griffin, please complete the online application and the foster will be in touch asap: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application/ DOB: 10/01/2020 Weight: 36lbs (30lbs at ideal weight)We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. I was living with a small dog and older kids, having a blast, when suddenly, an evil villain, Dr. Neglect, started causing trouble. Using my superpowers of sweetness and friendliness, I managed to protect my small dog friend from his harm. But, alas, I was captured and ended up here. Now, I'm waiting for my next adventure. I promise, with me by your side, life will be filled with belly rubs and love. So, what do you say? Ready to adopt a superhero?March 2, 2025, 6:49 pm

Story
Hello, my name is Crash! I am a 1 year old Collie mix that weighs approx. 20lbs. I was surrendered to RAC due to my previous family no longer being able to care for me. I am a friendly guy that loves affections and would love to find a FURever home to call my own! I was raised with other dogs but a meet and greet is suggested if you have another dog in the home. I am crate trained and walk well on leash. If you are interested in making me part of your family, please submit an adoption application located here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/. RAC staff will be in touch with approved applicants in order to schedule a meet and greet. My adoption fee is $125. I am neutered, current on my rabies vaccination, microchipped, up to date on my basic boosters, and I am heartworm negative.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. March 10, 2025, 7:48 pm

Story
Hi! My name is Barnaby! I am a male Collie/Australian Kelpie mix approx. 7 months old and weigh around 15-20 Lbs. I was found off of Glenwick Dr. in Rockwall on 03/06/25 and never reclaimed by my owners. So now, I am available for adoption and looking for my furever family. I am a very sweet and playful boy. Since I am still a puppy, I will need plenty of training, patience and love as I acclimate to my new environment once adopted. I do walk on a leash, but I do not appear to have any formal leash training. I am very curious and love to play and explore new things. Based on my overall personality, I should do fine with other dogs as well as cats and children. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is recommended prior to adoption to make sure we get along before you take me home. My adoption fee is $125 which includes my neuter, microchip, rabies vaccination, boosters to date and heartworm test. If you are interested in adopting me, please submit an online adoption application at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/. Once submitted, RAC staff will be in touch with next steps.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX.
