Story
Gabby is an 8 year old sable sheltie who is up to date on all vaccinations, is spayed, microchipped, she weighs 28 pounds and is ready for her new forever home. Gabby would do best in a quiet, adult-only home, where she can safely explore and receive the love and attention she deserves. A home that knows the sheltie breed and the herding dog breed would be the best for Gabby. She loves her walks and does great on her leash. Gabby is an independent and loyal girl who enjoys sitting near her foster family in the evenings. She likes to be the queen of the house and can be a little bossy and thus she would do best as an only dog in her new forever home. We’re not sure about cats, but a home with kitties would be best. Gabby is currently on medications to help with her anxiety. Gabby lost her human parent and is in need of a new forever home. Gabby is currently in a house with 2 other dogs and is guarded around these pups. Gabby doesn't play with toys but does enjoy sitting outside in the fresh air and enjoying the fenced in backyard. Gabby is being fostered in the HARRISBURG, PA area and please note her location here in PA and her foster home location. HPSR covers the state of PA, and our foster homes are located throughout the state of PA. Gabby will need a SECURE FENCED IN YARD...and no exceptions. (Please do not inquire if you do not have a secure fenced in yard). We adopt to forever homes here in the state of PA and will consider adoption homes just over the PA state line, but we do not do long distance adoptions. Inquiries can be emailed to: mikelamontshelties@gmail.com or a reply here to her post on this adoption site. Adoption applications can be download from our website at: pasheltierescue.org

Story
Our Gal Rosie is up to date on all vaccinations, is spayed, all of her testings, vetting care and micro-chipped completed, and is ready for her new forever loving home. She is 8 yrs old and a peach of a girl. So sweet and a low key Sheltie and she is GREAT with other pups. She does like to bark at the squirrels and run and play in her fenced yard and so very much looks forward to her walks. Rosie just loves to lay out in the yard and so enjoys being out in her fenced yard, especially in the sun.. She also enjoys her walks as well and she looks forward to her walks everyday and and a great walker. She is great with children and other dogs . And enjoys so much just staying in the house with her family as a companion pup. Rosie is a bigger gal and still can lose a few more pounds. Presently about 38 pounds and needs to get down to ~35 pounds range. Work in progress and Rosie has been a blessing here in foster care. Rosie does have Cushings and this is controlled with medication and a daily pill to keep this in check and she also gets a Thyroid pill daily to keep her Thyroid in check. Both are daily meds and easy, and Rosie will need follow ups annually with her Cushings and Thyroid check testings. She is looking for her forever home, and will be a great companion dog. Rosie is being fostered in the Allentown PA area and please note her location here in PA and her foster home location. HPSR covers the state of PA, and our foster homes are located throughout the state of PA. Rosie will need a SECURE FECNCED IN YARD... and no exceptions. (Please do not inquire if you do not have a secure fenced in yard) . Story
Meet our beautiful boy GLENN. While Glenn has a mostly sheltie face and features, due to his large size, we feel he may have some collie mix and we are waiting on his DNA testing to verify. Glenn is up to date on all vaccinations, is neuter, all of his testings completed, vetting care and micro-chipped completed, and is ready for his new forever loving home. Glenn is approximately 5 yrs old and a very sweet boy. He is a fun-loving Sheltie and he is GREAT with other pups and just loves to play with his toys and prance in the fosters fenced in yard. He is a bigger boy at 63 pounds and his hind quarters needed to be shaved when he came into rescue due to many large mats, but his coat is already growing back, he has been groomed and he will have one beautiful full coat later this spring. Glenn just loves to prance around the fenced yard and is such a beautiful companion boy and very gentle and is perfectly house trained. Glenn would be fine with older children and he has not cats in his current foster home, so we are not sure about cats, but he has a very gentle nature. He is good on leash but will need a little more practice to be perfect. Glenn is looking for his forever home, and will be a great companion dog and when his coat is fully grown in, he will be a stunning boy. Glenn is being fostered in the Lancaster, PA area and please note his location here in PA and his foster home location. HPSR covers the state of PA, and our foster homes are located throughout the state of PA. We would prefer his adoption be at the foster home in the Lancaster, PA area. Glenn will need a SECURE FECNCED IN YARD... and no exceptions. (Please do not inquire if you do not have a secure fenced in yard and secure gates). We adopt to forever homes here in the state of PA and will consider adoption homes just over the PA state line, but we do NOT do long distance adoptions. Inquiries can be emailed to: mikelamontshelties@gmail.com or a reply here to Glenn’s post on this adoption site. Story
Meet our beautiful new Sheltie gal Daisy. Will be ready for adoption later in January. Daisy is one stunning sheltie gal and she is only 2 years old and at 30 pounds, has some longer legs and she is a taller gal. Daisy is up to date on all vaccinations, is spayed, all of her testings completed, vetting care and micro-chipped completed, and is ready for her new forever loving home. Daisy is 2 yrs old and still very much a puppy at heart and loves to play and we’re working on some general manners… as she can be a counter surfer… LOL She is a youngster, and needs to have some supervision (as puppies do… ) and ongoing training. She would do great with some basic obedience classes with her new forever home and bonding. She is a fun-loving Sheltie and she is GREAT with other pups and tends to be the Alpha in the foster home (she does enjoy the two other shelties in her foster home). She still has a lot of youngster energy and is learning the sheltie pack rules in foster care, but she can be, or wants to be the more the Alpha dog in the group and will need a home that understands the sheltie breed and the herding breed. She has had a few accidents in the house, but it’s only been a couple of weeks and she is learning the ropes in her new foster home. She is one very smart sheltie girl. Daisy is a tick bigger for a sheltie at 30 pounds, and she does have those longer legs and has a beautiful mahogany sable and white coat, that is just stunning. She would do great in a home that likes to do some obedience and even some agility work and with those long legs, she is one fast gal and a jumper and will love to be up on the couch with you for sure. Daisy just loves to racing around the fenced yard with the other shelties and she is a barker, as most shelties are, and we feel she would do fine with other shelties or other non-alpha pups in her new home, but with her activity level, we will not adopt her to a home with children under the teenage years, and she would need a home with no cats… She is a herding dog and will most likely give chase to the cats. LOL We don’t think she would hurt them… but give them a chase. So, Daisy is looking for her forever home, and she will be a great companion and a fun and energy sheltie in the home that understands shelties and a home that is open to working with a young 2 year sheltie pup that needs a lot of exercise, one-on-one attention, and also a home open to some obedience training and even some agility sports. A Sheltie needs mental activity as well as physical activity…. Especially for the youngsters. Daisy is being fostered in the Pittsburgh, PA area and please note her location here in PA and her foster home location. HPSR covers the state of PA, and our foster homes are located throughout the state of PA. We would prefer her adoption be at the foster home in the Pittsburgh, PA area. Daisy will need a SECURE FECNCED IN YARD... and no exceptions. (Please do not inquire if you do not have a secure fenced in yard and secure gates). We Prefer a home with Sheltie / herding breed experience. We adopt to forever homes here in the state of PA and will consider adoption homes just over the PA state line, but we do NOT do long distance adoptions. Inquiries can be emailed to: mikelamontshelties@gmail.com or a reply here to Daisy’s post on this adoption site. Adoption applications can also be downloaded from our website at: pasheltierescue.org
